February 23, 1929 - February 5, 2012

My Papa is one of the greatest persons I know. He taught me so much in life and he was a living example of that. I loved him so much and I know he knows how much I love him and already miss him - I am so blessed to have had such a close relationship with him. I cherish all the rides we had - I will always be his little cowgirl. I am so lucky that I was able to grow up just a few miles away from Ginny and Papa. I couldn't have been blessed with better grandparents. I have so many wonderful memories with him that I will forever cherish.
I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life that I know because of the Plan of Salvation I will one day get to be with him and the rest of my family. I am so grateful to have that knowledge that families can be together forever. "Until we meet again" Papa...See you soon. I will love you forever!

Papa's Obituary:

GLENNS FERRY • E. LaDell Handy, 82, of Glenns Ferry, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at a Boise hospital.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Glenns Ferry. Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Glenns Ferry, with a viewing from 10 until 10:45 a.m. and funeral at 11 a.m.; burial will follow at Glenn Rest Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

LaDell was the oldest of four children born to Ernest W. and Edith B. Handy on Feb. 23, 1929, in Heyburn, Idaho. LaDell was raised in the Heyburn area. He moved with his family to the Rogerson/Three Creek, Nev., area when he was 8. It was there that he started a lifelong love of cowboying. He started working on the Brackett Ranch at the young age of 9 and continued going back and working throughout all his years in school after his family moved back to Heyburn. LaDell enjoyed playing football and basketball during his high school years.

LaDell married Carol Nelson on Aug 25, 1950, in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. They had three daughters. They moved to Twin Falls, where LaDell worked for Shelby’s Foodliner and managed the meat department. They moved back to Burley when Shelby’s expanded and built a store there. LaDell and Dale Shelby bought and ran numerous ranches in the Albion, Moulton and Malta areas, where they received the Idaho State Grass Man of the Year Award. They moved to the Pitchfork Ranch in King Hill after selling the grocery stores. There they ran a cattle operation.

LaDell and Carol moved to Utah, where LaDell worked for Bell Meat Packaging and at Utah State University. They then moved to Jackpot, Nev., where LaDell ran and managed the W/D Ranch for JK Wheeler. When retiring, they moved to Glenns Ferry, where he has been running a large cattle operation with his son-in-law, Mark Noble, and grandson, Tyler Bunn, until the time of his death. LaDell was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as branch president, bishop and held many other callings. He was a member of the Burley Fair Board and served as president. He was a member of the Cassia County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse and served as captain.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol Nelson Handy; his three daughters, Debra H. Johnson and Jerry of Utah, Denise H. Bunn and Greg of Idaho, and Jerrolynn H. Noble and Mark of Idaho; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his sister, Arlene Badger of Bountiful, Utah; brothers, Gerald Handy and Lois and Duane Handy and Beverly; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Shelby Nelson Noble; and a grandson, Riley Greg Bunn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perpetual Education Fund or Missionary Fund through the LDS Church.

Holy Cow....so the last couple of months have been insanely exhausting to say the least. Well that is for Kyle anyhow. He has been non-stop studying for the GMAT exam and I will try to help out as much as I can. I was doing good for a while...then it had to stop. It was too much for me. He is so dedicated and committed to it and getting a good score to be able to get accepted to the schools that he wants to. This is what has been going on in our office....SCARY - BEWARE!

Seriously? I know huh?! It really hurts my head looking at all of his notes from the bazillion problems that he practices! Anyways, I am so grateful that it is him doing it and not me :) I am so proud of him! In the mean time of making this decision to apply to grad school he has also been able to have a few internships with investment firms that he is loving and learning SOO much. He comes home and tells me all about it...I know he loves it. That is all he can talk about lately. Not sure how to explain this one, but there was a professor that was able to select a senior and KYLE got selected to go through the training to be a CFA! The nice thing about it is that it will be paid for, so I guess that would be kind of like a scholarship, something similar to that anyway. Oh and did I mention he is competing with DECA now too? Oh ya that is just another thing to add to his plate. Poor guy is exhausted, but it will all be totally worth it here soon. I know it. I am so proud of my hubbby. He is just simply amazing. I LOVE YOU KYLE - thanks for all of your hard work and all that you do for us! :) xoxo

Best of EFY

I was able to attend the BEST OF Especially For Youth with our youth this weekend. It was so much fun! We got to listen to some super awesome speakers...which I did not doubt that they would disappoint. Clearly, they did not! There was 3 speakers and we were all ready for more. They are so incredible at how they can speak about something so so so important and influential and yet allow all of us to feel the spirit and enjoy learning about it! What a gift they have. The 3 speakers were Bro. Martin, Bro. Robley, and Bro. Wilcox at the East Chapel in town. Not only did the youth learn things, but us as leaders did too. So thankful for the opportunities to learn and feel of the spirit. What a blessing it is to be part of such a wonderful organization that has been created for the Youth.
Break down of the talks:
Bro. Martin spoke about how much of an influence friends are in our lives. After referring to the scriptures and taking a deeper look into the story of Sampson and Delilah, we need to rid ourselves of the Delilah's in our lives who try to take us down with them. We need friends who will lift us up, not step on us and sweep us under a rug and stomp on it. It is easy to get trapped with friends who want to be in control. Another story he related to us was that of Balam and the donkey. Balam is set on doing what he shouldn't. The donkey with him is determined to heed other direction and not allow him to go further and get into something bad. The donkey was taking heed of the cautions that were ahead and wanted nothing bad to happen to either so he would not move any further ahead. He wanted only to look out for Balam. We need donkeys in our lives to keep us on the straight and narrow and who support us and look out for us. We need good friends.
Bro. Robley was really pretty funny, but he continued to reiterate the importance of letting our light shine. He of course had a song to go with it to engrave in our minds I am sure...I haven't forgotten it thats for sure. We have the light of Christ, we need to show it off boldly by standing for what we believe and what we know to be true and be examples of just that. Do not hide behind a bushel or allow your light to be poofed out. Let it shine let it shine let it shine!!
Bro. Wilcox broke down for us the Gospel. We are so blessed to have the Gospel in our lives. G is for the Godhead and believing in 3 separate beings, God the Father - Jesus Christ - and the Holy Ghost. O is for the Only true Church. We have all the pieces to the puzzle. S is for Spirit. We learn by teh spirit, we teach by the spirit, and allow the spirit to guide us. We rely heavily upon the promptings that are given to us by the spirit. P is for the Power of the Priesthood. It truly is a power that is remarkable and can do great things if used properly and if we have faith. So grateful for the Priesthood Power. E is for everyone. Everyone can be part of this Gospel whether it is here now or doing work for the dead that have already passed before us and never had the opportunity to know about the gospel. Lastly, L is for Living Prophets. We have living prophets today, now, in our time that have been called of God. How awesome is that. We are guided by them through their teachings. They are such a strength and such a pillar of knowledge to turn to for understanding, help, and love. Bro. Wilcox broke this down for us so perfectly.
I am so glad that I was able to attend this meeting. I definately learned a lot!

Tufted Headboard...

So over the holiday break while we were staying at my inlaws we, (Becca, Meg, & Me), got this fabulous idea to make Megan a upholstered headboard for her newly remodeled room! :) Yes so out and about we went for all of the supplies...the fun part. HA I got to see Tooele at it's finest :) Anyways, we did have to go back only one time so that was really great I thought. It was much easier to do than I had imagined, but I would never be able to do the entire thing alone, a second hand is much needed. I think mainly for sanity. :) Of course we failed at all the before and afters for pictures unfortunately, but here is the complete finished product! I think it turned out super super! I love it and it is very fitting for Megan and her room ;) Thanks for the fun afternoon girlies! xoxo

Christmas vacation was so nice and relaxing. We headed out to Tooele on Friday night (Dec.23) after work and got to Kyle's Dad's house to stay for the night on our way to Idaho. I was able to meet some extended family staying there that I had yet to meet, so it was fun to get to meet Tara and Mike and their kids. We also got to see Russ and Bev there too!
Saturday we headed to my parents house and made it for a lovely Christmas Eve Dinner with my Mom & Dad, Ginny & Papa, Carli, and Kyle & I. Of course the food was delicious - some of my favorites were the Prime Rib Dad cooked and the yummy sticky buns, and of course my favorite dish...mashed potatoes and gravy! YUUUUMMMMMMYY! It was great to get to catch up with everyone.

After dinner, Dad read to us "The Story of Christ." It was a great way to feel of the Spirit and to remember what Christmas is all about. We often get a little too distracted with buying gifts and making sure all of these crazy ideas go through well and it was nice to sit back and listen to a beautiful story about our Savior. I am so grateful for the things that I know and the things that I was taught since I was a little girl.

Christmas morning, I was the first one up of course. I can't remember a Christmas at home where I wasn't?! Anyways, we got up and opened a few gifts together and then hurried off to get ready for church. It was so nice to have Christmas on a Sunday. Since it was though, they had a lovely Christmas program that one of the members had put together a beautiful depiction of what took place the night that Jesus was born. It was filled with stories and pretty musical numbers. It was great to see so many familiar faces in the ward while we were there too. I have so many great memories with so many of them. It is a little crazy to see some of the people around my age with multiple children...aparently I am definately slacking in that department. After church we went home and started making my favorite breakfast...Biscuts and gravy! It was soooo good. I really need to learn how to master it the way mom and ginny do. We finished opening up gifts with one another. We were seriously spoiled by our family! Holy cow we are so lucky to have such wonderful parents, brothers and sisters, and grandparents who love us so much. We truly are so blessed in our life. We couldn't be more grateful for all that they do for us continually. LOVE YOU ALL. Later on Aunt Denise and Uncle Greg and Tyler came up too. It was so great to get to see them! It is so fun that she is so much closer and get to see her that much more often!

Since there wasn't any snow anywhere, we decided to take the horses out and go for a ride. Kyle & I, Papa, Carli, and Tyler all went out on the loop from our house and down the draw by the river and back up and around. It was fun to get out...even though it was FREEZING. As we were riding we went by where Kyle proposed to me...ahhh such great memories! :) It always is so great to be back on Maggie. I miss riding so much...so so much!

We went and stayed at the house in Boise for a few days. We caught up with Grandma Vera and went to see the new Mission Impossible movie and went to dinner over at the Olive Garden. The movie was really good...super intense the whole time. Grandma said she isn't letting dad pick the movie next time. :) It was fun to get to see her and catch up. We went over to her house after and hung out. She gave me some of the dishcloths and hangers she makes. She was so funny and made us all for Christmas this year "Bronco" slippers. Usually it is a surprise at the color we get, but this year it was all Orange and Blue! We love them! She is so talented in doing that stuff.

The next day we caught up with Grandpa Al and went to lunch with him at PF Changs. Love this place. So yummy. It was good to see him and catch up. We went over to the office and hung out for a while afterwards and hear about all thats going on. We eneded up going to the mall and made the returns we needed to and then just went back home and hung out. We watched the movie Columbiana. Holy cow that was crazy...I can't imagine a life that way. I enjoyed watching it though. A friend of Carli and I's came by. It has been forever since I had seen Adolfo. He is seriously the nicest kid ever.

When we got back home we got to help Dad and Ty move some cows to a different field too. Kyle like to have something going on when we are riding rather than just "walking the horses" as he puts it. He is so funny sometimes. Always moving. However he had to do a lot of studying over the break for his biig GMAT test that he has to take here soon. He is so dedicted to studying and doing well on this placement test. I know that he will do great! I am so proud of him.

Hung out for a few more days in GF and then stopped half way in Tooele at Kyle's Dad's house for the rest of the weekend before back to STG.

Rebecca, Megan and I decided to make Megan a upholstered headboard for her new bedroom. Holy cow...it looks so fantastic! I forgot to get a picture, but I will have to have Megan send me one of it. I really was impressed with how awesome it turned out. Now, when I have extra arms around here I will have to attempt! :) We had such a great and relaxing vacation. Now back to reality and our busy crazy hectic life!!! :)

Maaco Bowl - BSU!!

Another year that BSU just didn't get the game they should have and ended up in Las Vegas for the 2nd year in a row at the Las Vegas Maaco Bowl. BSU vs. ASU. It was on December 22 (which also happens to be my mom's birthday!) Kyle and I were able to drive down after work and head back home for work on Friday, but it was fun to get to go and watch Kelin Moore's last game as a Bronco! What a fun night we had! Hailey and Steve were able to come from Cali - Mom Dad and Car came from ID - and Ky and I came in from STG! So glad we were all able to go. What great memories we have together going to the BSU games!

It was actually pretty nice the first part of the game and then the wind came up....then it was kinda chilly!! The first play of the game BSU ran back for a touchdown from the kickoff...it was AWESOME!! What a way to start the game off! :)

Cody was working that night, so at half time he stopped by to say hi to all of us...fun to see him in uniform for the LVMPD.

It was so funny, because we were down on the front row waiting for the guys to come and high five everybody in the crowd and NONE of them were coming over. Dad was like well I'm going down there, he hops over the rail and off he went and we all followed! We, along with everyone else decided to SWARM the field to congratulate all of the boys!

My cute little Kruzer boy was tuckered out after our Saturday morning adventure! On Saturday morning PetSmart was having their grand opening in STG and so I decided to take Kruz Christmas shopping! Haha it was so fun! I couldn't believe it - everyone and their dog was there! They were basically throwing free stuff at us...Kruz really loved the attention, but who wouldn't right? Anyways Kruz came home with multiple toys, frizbee, sweater, T-shirt, coupons, and my favorite a picture of him on a pin! They had someone set up an area to have a picture of your dog taken and then they made a pin out of it - ya know like those proud parents of athlete pins. I know you know what I am trying to explain...I was definately a proud mama because he looked so cute in it! :) Such a successful day shopping together. I think I wore him out a bit...

Being a young woman leader in my ward I get to do lots of fun things for our activities during the week, but I especially love it when we get to serve others. Last night we had the opportunity to be in charge of the FHE at Porter's elderly home. Gosh, what a fun group of people that were there with us to celebrate and remember that this is the season of giving and reflect upon our life and all that our Savior has done for us. We are all so truly blessed. Well they all had lots to say and were glad to have us over for a good time to play my "christmas" bingo! Who doesn't love bingo right? Better yet bingo where you get prizes! :)

Anyways, I have such a soft spot in my heart for the elderly. My heart is always so full after something like this. I love that they teach me so much, have lovely stories to tell, and they genuinely care about you, even if you just met. In my community growing up I had the opportunity to get to know some really wonderful people and I continue to cherish those memories and those who have touched my life. May we all grasp on to the spirit this Christmas season and remember the true meaning.

I love love watching the NFR the beginning of December. What a great way to start the month off of 10 straight days of watching the best of the best compete at the NFR! I really enjoy watching it while on my couch, but there is nothing like being at the Thomas & Mack Center watching a great round. I have been fortunate to have been able to go a handful of times and what good times and great memories. I especially love the "cowboy christmas" events too. You will never see more wrangler butts in a 10 mile radius...ever. Sadly, this year was not one of the times I have got to go, but it was super awesome!!

Hailey's Baby shower - Hosted by Aunt Pam, Kylee, & Carli

Here are the decorations we had at the baby shower. I think it all turned out so cute and the food and snacks were so delicous! We asked instead of having the guests give cards to sign inside their favorite children's book or nursery rhyme book. It was such a great idea because for one, cards seem to be super expensive these days and secondly Hailey has a full blown children's library now! They were all such cute books, and so sweet to have personalized messages in each of them. I think that is going to be really special for her sweet baby girl to have. Holy smokes, we had such a full house of lovely women to come and celebrate with us! It was so much fun to catch up with old friends and family that I haven't seen in so long!

Home at last! Mom has all of her Christmas decor out and it always looks so lovely and just brings in that holiday spirit! I just love it - so nice and cozy! While we were getting things ready for the shower, Dad snuck us away to lunch down town to go to The Stop! It was the last day to be open for them - they closed for a few months for the winter... ahh so good and just the way I remembered it! Cherry scotch n' soda, yes please! :)

My Aunt Pammy, Carli, and myself hosted a baby shower for my sister, Hailey at Pam's house. She got some super cute stuff and I think with all of our finishing touches it turned out so so cute! It was great to catch up with lots of people I haven't seen in forever. Brought back lots of memories that's for sure!

My cousin Bubba just recently bought a house in GF, so I am so glad I got to drop in and see him and see his super awesome house! It is seriously so cute and quaint and just perfect for him! I loved it - I am so happy he found it! I Miss him lots!

Another highlight was that we got to go to the last home game for BSU. They were playing against New Mexico, which BSU did not disappoint and beat them 45-0. Did I mention that it was freezing there? IT WAS! Anyways, we got all bundled up and Dad and Carli and I were down on the sideline and Mom and Hailey were nice and cozy up under the heaters in our seats :) Yes. We joined them after half-time to finish the game and to thaw out our COLD toes!

I love BSU's blue turf! I hope they don't EVER change that. It is definately a signature for the Broncos!

Hailey and Steve bought a Prius while they were in Idaho, so Carli and I cruised back to GF in "dapri"

Lucky me...another birthday celebration for me! Mom put candles in her yummy pumpkin bars for me. I love anything and everything pumpkin, especially my mom's Pumpkin bars and her Pumpking Pie! They are so dang delicous - I could eat just that. All day. :) And of course agian, my family always spoils me with really great things....I will be "traveling" in "style" with my "shades" on! Yeah!

Thanks again for the wonderful time spent at home! It was so much fun and nice to be in a place to use all my winter clothes! :)

Catching up with my girls

On my way to ID between the weather and wating for Carli to get out of school I was fortunate enough to get to drop in on and catch up with some of my girlfriends from college that live in the area! So FUN!

Allison and I, we got to celebrate together for a bit since we both just recently turned 26, just a few days apart from eachother. Happy Birthday AL! ;)

It worked out that Ashley and Stef and I could meet up for lunch at a yummy place called Paradise Bakery, which we now even have one here in STG! It was really pretty good. Luckily they don't kick you out for being there too long, because we enjoyed our lengthy lunch in catching up and me gooing over their super stinkin cute kiddos! I just love them! Thanks again "hot mamasitas" for the fun afternoon! xoxo

Ruby is such a good baby! She is so so precious - she just slept and was a little happy camper when she woke up! Oh I was so glad I got to finally meet her!

It was so much fun to get to see them and spend some time catching up with them. Normally when traveling through there between STG and ID, we are in travel mode and how we can quickly get from point A to point B with minimal stops. Flagstaff Vacay!

The Treece clan all gathered for Thanksgiving this year at Kyle's grandparents house in Flagstaff. It was so fun to get together with everyone and enjoy some super delicious food and even better company. We had so much fun while we were there for most of the week - Flag is such a beautiful place! This year we have been so blessed and have so much to be thankful for - I am truly grateful for all that I have. What a lucky girl I am!

Kyle's cousin Cabrina just had a sweet baby girl, Bailey. She is just a couple weeks old - so glad we got to meet her! :)

After we all filled ourselves FULL Rebecca and I started on a sewing project. All the guys except Kirk and Kyle left to go hunting, they wanted to stay and hang out with us more...since we're so much fun! So Rebecca and Grandma Kay helped me make a few blankets for my sister Hailey who is expecting a little girl soon! Anyways, I loved how they turned out, and surprisingly enough they weren't too hard to make. Luckily I had a few pros helping me out.

Holy cow, seriously am I 26? Yes! :) What a fun day it was being on vacation celebrating - I seriously got spoiled by everyone, so THANK YOU!

Grandma Kay made me a Red Velvet Birthday Cake and the pretty flowers were from the Hansen's.

The four of us went out on Black Friday to get a few things we were looking for...it was fun and we found some really great things for the Meg and Jake....ok and Kyle. haha and like I said I was spoiled for my birthday, so when we got back I opened presents :) So fun!

Kruz absolutley loved it at Grandma Kay's house! Holy cow he could just roam following all of the dogs wherever. He was quited interested in all of the squirrels she had meandering in the back yard. They all just watch patiently...haha then they get to be so tough when the deer come in....quite territorial. It was so funny to watch them all. :)

We got to take the dogs on lots of walks - they love it outside up in the Pines! Nice brisk, fresh air. Kruz normally is Fletch's shadow when we are out and about, but Molly had a little faster pace...sorry Fletch. xoxo

Kruz is so spoiled....we got there and Grandma Kay had gotten him a new little bed/blanket/toy...he LOVES it. Of course Becca got him a furry friend too...he never goes without, that's for sure. He was definately a little tuckered out after the super fun week with everyone!

Anyways, the week was so much fun to get to be there with all the family! It was great to see everyone and catch up, eat great food, watch some really great movies (Breaking Dawn and Water For Elephants), enjoy the outdoors, shopping, and one of my favorites - antique shopping with Grandma Kay! We always find some really great treasures. Thank you for the wonderful trip and most of all the wonderful memories made! xoxo Love you all!

Happy Fall

The last few weeks have been sooo nice here in STG, the weather that is. Everything else seems to be chaotic. I just love this lovely fall weather because I for one, love my fall/winter wardrobe much more than my summer/spring attire for sure....also the change of colors with the trees everywhere...so beautiful. These pictures were taken in just our back yard! I love fall because it is the start of upcoming holidays, my birthday, and some serious family time - which I love more than anything! Hoping it gets colder so I can light up my wood-burning stove to cuddle on the couch with my boys and some hot cocoa !

I have been in attempt to grow this crazy a-line out that I have now had for what seems like forever. Time for a new change...growing it out is soooo HARD! But, it is finally at a length that I can atleast stand it....which now seems like it has stopped growing, so now to figure out what to do with the hair...I haven't had it this long in years - I love being able to pull it back...oh how I have missed that! AHaHa

Dixie High Shcool put on the production of:

I can not even begin to tell you what an incredible job that they did on this performance. I was completely in awe of the talent of all of the students the entire production. It was so great! I LOVE LOVE this story and I especially LOVE the music in it. This was my first time having gone to Dixie High's productions, but it is not going to be my last for sure! This definately exceeded my expectations for the caliber of overall production at high school level - AMAZING. One of the girls in my Young Women's was in it so it was fun to get to see Kass perform too - she is so talented! Ahhh...what a great night! :)

BSU vs. UNLV

So I love it when my whole family can get together - it is so fun to me because I don't get to see them as often as I would like...but I am pretty lucky at the same time how often I do since we don't live so close. Anyways, since BSU had a game scheduled in Vegas what better excuse to get together. Hailey and Steve came from the beach and Car and Mom drove in and picked Ky and I up and Dad flew in. We had lots of fun - and got to see some of our friends too. We stayed at the newer hotel in the City Center called Vdara - it was really nice and super modern. However, a little more confusing to get around over there. Being in Vegas, I can't imagine someone being totally drunk (which there were a lot) and wasted and trying to find their way back...just saying that had to be hard.

Ohhhh another fun thing...so my sister Hailey is 6 months prego and she looks so cute...baby bump is all she has. Seriously so cute. Anyways, we were sitting around and she was like "ky she is kicking" so I went over to feel her kick...oh my goodness that was super neat/weird/cool all at the same time! HaHa :) I had a moment with my neice already...pretty sure she is going to love me. A lot. ;) I can't wait for her to be here already. So excited.

We also ate at this restaurant in the Monte Carlo - The Pub. Lots of games on to watch, but I ordered "sweet potato fries" (which are my favorite - fyi) and they served them with brown sugar sprinkled over them along with the most incredible marshmallow dip. Let me just tell you they were Delicious - I was one happy girl!!

So I have had this dresser of my sister's at my house for awhile - just sitting in the extra room. Anyways, I just had it refinished by a lady here in town and it looks so good! I really like the distressed finish that she used and she was super reasonable. Anyways here is the:

Kyle and I decided we wanted to carve some pumpkins this year - We have been a little disappointed with Halloween the last couple of years in our neighborhood, but still wanted to do something since we both "use" to love this holiday so much! Our Halloween the last 3 years have been lame....we totally dressed up in costume...our house was like the hanuted house you were always so excited to see when you were little....but 3 years in a row we had NO STINKIN Trick or Treaters!! Seriously!? We were totally bummed. Oh well. We didn't decorate other than our carved pumpkins this year, and tricked out the truck for "trunk or treat." It was nice. No expectations this year. Ha Ha.

Becca and the kids got to come down and visit over the weekend since they had a few days off of school. It was so fun to get to see Megan 7 Jake! We took them out to the corn maize at Staheli Farm on Friday night and we had lots of fun roaming in the fields and hearing screams of horror!

Otter Creek

Kyle's Birthday was Friday - he is 25! Yes - we are finally the same age again...haha atleast for another month or so! :) Anyways, he wanted to get out of town and shut the world out for a bit. We packed up and headed to Otter Creek. I am so glad we got to go this weekend because it was so perfect! The weather was absolutely AMAZING!

We got up there early enough for Kyle and Eddie to go take the boat out and catch some fish! Kyle caught a pretty good sized one, which we ended up cooking and it was so delicious. We found the perfect spot to camp right off the lake. Eddie & Aubrey came with us and then Steven & Jillian came down to meet us too.

We enjoyed sitting around our lovely campfire the rest of the night. I really don't think there is anything more relaxing then sitting by a campfire. I love it.

Saturday we decided to go and fish off the streams...it was so nice outside, I couldn't believe how hot it was for up there in the middle of October! It was a perfect day! Kruz loved playing down at the stream in the water and in all the sand. He wasn't quite sure what to think about Kyle with the fish, but he knew he better be there to help...ya know just in case.

Kruz was so funny in the sand...he was spazzing out and would go dig in one spot and dig and dig and dig...then run around like a crazy boy and go back and dig dig dig. He was carackin' us up. He had lots of fun - got extremely dirty and definately wore himself out. He zonked out once we got back to camp.

BBQ Time

We did some yummy BBQ'in this weekend! We had some friends up on Friday night and had our yummy traditional Tri- Tip oh and Boca Burgers for McKenzi ;) We had Tierra and the Felt women up! It was so much fun to finally get to meet Tess's family. I have always heard such wonderful things about Tess and to get to meet her mother and sisters was so great. They are all incredibly amazing and doing wonderful things. I hope we can continue to keep in touch with them - anyone dear to Kyle is dear to me too! xoxo

Then Saturday I was able to go to a friends baby shower - McKenzi Irvin - I also know her through Kyle, they've been friends since high school. They live out in Michigan so we sadly don't get to see her all that often. She was kind enough to come by the house later too to catch up with Kyle since he didn't make it out to the shower. :) ha ha he would have not have thought twice about going with a bunch of women! i love how Kyle is so great about keeping in touch with all his friends that mean so much to him. Sunday evening one of my friends was in town for the weekend. She and her husband were running the STG Marathon - I know right - AWESOME! Anyways, they came by for a little Mexican Fiesta. It was fun to catch up with them too since they live in Chandler, AZ. They now have 2 little boys - they are so cute and full of energy! So my cute sister -i-l, Sara, and her cute lil family were in town visiting. It was so much fun, we got to go out to the lake with them, where we were pretty much the only family out there - it was so nice...smooth waters! :) We also got to work on a fun project, which of course took longer than we had anticipated...they always do! HAHA! We also got to see "the girls" (Klara and Cozette) swim! They were totally loving it and would jump off of the sides to Rhett or Sara! Seriously...so cute! We squoze in a Yummy BBQ too! However, this is where my slacker side of me came in....I apparently did not get a single picture! Gosh I am the worst! :( I wish I could share some new pics of these girls...they have grown up so much and are super doll faces! Cute story - so we were there hanging out and Sara was feeding the girls, but only got one drink cup out for them. Here I am thinking like uhh you forgot one...oh no they don't want two separate cups. They WANT to SHARE. You heard me. Two little girls that want to share. AHAH I love it! It was seriously so cute to witness because Klara would have it and then all of the sudden she took a drink and takes it and passes it over to Cozette. Then back and forth whenever they felt like the other one needed. No biggy. It was so stinkin cute.
Sure wish they lived closer and were able to stay longer! We love our little Frei Fam!! xoxo

Honeycomb Rocks - Enterprise

Kyle and I decided to go up outside Enterprise (hour away is all) and go camping for the night and hang out for the day on Saturday. I had to be back to teach on Sunday - so it was going to be a quick camping trip. I hadn't ever been to Honeycomb Rocks before, but I loved it! The rocks were awesome. We got there right when it was getting dark on Friday night, so I didn't get any pictures then. I wish I would have been able to caputre all of the awesome lighting surrounding us that reflected the entire reservoir! It was pretty neat. I however fell asleep rather early...my allergies definately got a hold of me and apparently my allergy pills were "drowsy" to the extreme! :( I was lame to say the least and quite uncoherent! HA

Woke up to the reservoir completely engulfed in fog...this was after it "cleared up" it looked so cool!

Ok so I am kind of excited about a few shows here that are back on or are going to be on the tube this fall. Parenthood is back on and I am so excited...I really enjoy watching this show. One big real family.

Another one that I love that is going to be back on is Modern Family...I think it is hilarious! Seriously.

One that always catches me on its previews since it is new is Whitney. I am hoping it is as funny as it is portrayed to be. If so, then I think we're all in for a funny treat.

I can't bleieve it has been ten years since all of this took place. I remember the day quite clearly. Watched it on the news while eating breakfast, pretty unbelievable. How could that be happening? We had to head out to school, pretty chaotic there too. Everyone was pretty shook up about it. We had a lot of students who had parents in the Air Force, since the base was so close, and also quite a few who were getting ready to enlist come graduation. I remember having a volleyball game that night, it was away at another school, but it was pretty neat to have such a union with everyone at it. We never had a prayer before a game with both teams and everyone in attendance before, but that night we did. It was pretty cool to see lots of people of all different faiths turn to Heavenly Father for that help and comfort that he can always provide. Unfortunately, it sometimes takes tragedies for people to turn to him, but atleast it is a step in the right direction.
I personally didn't know anyone there in the towers, but watching all the documentaries and tributes on the History Channel sure were hard to watch and made you feel connected in some way -we are all American.
God Bless America - we truly are blessed to live in this free country!

Poll Creek Ranger Station/ Slide Creek

It worked out to where Tyler, Steve, Carli, and I could go on Papa's ride up to the Jarbidge Mtns while we were home to visit. I love this ride so much! If only we could have had more time and spent the whole weekend there - that would have been real nice. It was a beautiful day - weather was seriously perfect!

A little sad for me not be able to ride my Maggie on the ride though, she is a little hurt right now - but Freckles and I definately enjoyed our time together too!

Ahh...this year in 06 when we came through my dad was nice enough to carve my name in the tree for me since that happened to be the time we had a little "accident" where I got kicked. Anyways, it was good to see the trees ares still there, especially since they had the big fire up there 2 years ago.

Lucky me, I Finally got to meet Sharis and Travis' sweet lil Bentley! Oh my!! I just love her to pieces - she is the cutest lil girl ever! They were able to come up to my mom's house and visit for a while when I got into Boise - it was so great to catch up with them since it has been like a year and a half since I have seen them. UGh...I know - I am the worst friend EVER! :( Just know I think of my Shcatt Family often ;) I wish I lived in Boise...guess it will stay on my wish list for now.

So I could totally make Bentley laugh...I am seriously SO slow at capturing the picture of it though. Lame. She has the sweetest smile and the best little kisses! Yes, she melts my heart.

So my mom has these ginormous life size bears, ya know for when me and my sisters will one day have children. Ha AH - so Bentley got to enjoy playing with it! She was loving it!

Oh and she has a new bff, Miss Precious. :) She loved watching Precious play with her ball, but mostly liked her when her daddy would help her ride on Precious! AHAH

Ok so I can hardly contain my excitement for my sister, Hailey and her hubbers, Steve! She is expecting a lil babe in February and we all couldn't be more excited for her - this will be the first grandbaby on my side of the family!! Excited does not even begin to explain how happy my parents are: Dad of course thinks he is finally going to have a little farmer boy in the family - mom of course thinks she is going to have a little girl because that is all we know in our family - sorry dad - HA :)
Now the next big exciting thing, before the actual birth of course, is finding out what this sweet little baby is! Boy? Girl? Who knows - but I seriously can't wait for them to find out!!

It was such a great production and we had so much fun! My sisters and I loved this movie as little girls, especially Carli - she always wanted to watch "Lulu Maid."

Little Taleah

I don't know this little girl personally, but I do know her dad, Scott. I heard this awful news and it made me cry. First, because she is just so little and this awful disease, Leukemia, is trying to get the best of her. And continue to cry because I can't even begin to imagine the emotions that Scott and his wife are experiencing - my heart goes out to them and they will be in my prayers for a miracle to help their little girl, Taleah.

Book vs. Movie

I have been reading lots lately it seems. I have really been enjoying so many different books. However, I do think it is kind of fun when they create movies based off of the books. It is always fun to compare and what not. Yes be extremely critical... one book and movie I am most frustrated about is The Help.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed the book. Ok I will try. Read it in 2 days. Yes I really could not put it down. I loved the detail, the stories, the comical analogies that were always so witty, whether it was the southern women or the help talking, and SOOO many other things in the novel. I really really was impressed with the book and its perspective.

Since my mom and I both read it we thought we would have to for sure go together once it came out. She was passing through to head to my sisters and stayed the night and we went. My sister and grandma also came and neither of them had read it, they didn't know what to expect, whereas my mom and I had HIGH expectations for this movie, The Help, since we both loved the book so much....I mean it is 2 1/2 hours! So we all went, Carli and Ginny liked it. Mom and I were quite disappointed overall. Yes, it was good, but the movie LEFT soooo much out. Obviously it could not be exact, I get it. Still. I just thought there were a few IMPORTANT things that were left out. I couldn't resist not venting about it.

Date to the Fair

We got together with Drew & Dabney and another couple, Dani and Quinn to go to dinner and head out to the Demolition Derby at the Fair! :) Kyle and I have yet to have been to the fair here since...oh wait we have NEVER gone here before! Holy cow! I can't believe it ha s been 3 whole years already since Ky and I were married....AWESOME - time has flown by! I truly am so lucky to be married to Kyle. He is perfect for me and I love him so much. We have truly been so blessed in our lives, so much has happened in the last 3 years and we couldn't be happier....bring on eternity :)

It is always sad when you aren't able to make it to friends' weddings....but luckily Kyle and I were able to catch up with one of my real good friends from college, Bronson and also to meet his lovely wife, Linsee. It was so great to finally meet her! She is seriously one of the nicest and sweetest person I have ever met. They are moving out to DC for Bronson to finish school out there so it was definately a much needed visit before they start their new adventure so far away. I am so happy for them! Love you guys!

We were lucky enough to have Isabelle and Jazmine come and stay with us for the night! They were just little girls when Kyle first met them when he was on his mission. We got to see their family a few months back when we were in San Jose and so glad that is worked out that they could stay with us! We were so excited to have them with us...we just wish it was for longer. They are 2 of the sweetest and funniest girls I know! We just love them to pieces! xoxo

We hung out with them for a bit, took them to the glow in the dark mini golf, went and got some yummy ice cream at cold stone, and stayed up way too late watching the Sandlot cuddling with the pups.

Luckiest girl ever

I just have to brag about my cute hubby a bit...he is so amazing! I was getting me hair did and sitting there with Dab and he walks in to the building and had this ginormous bouquet of beautiful roses with him! First, it was completely unexpected and second is he just not the cutest thing ever? I think so! Lake Powell - here I am...

Ky and I got to go to Powell and enjoy some time in the sun with his family! We got there a day before them so we went and spent some time up at the sand hill - it was so much fun! The sand is so soft...the weather was perfect...kruz even made it up and had even more fun chasing Kyle down!

We had the perfect spot over by the "cookie jar" tucked back in a little cove. Kyle picked the perfect camp spot for us.

Once everyone else got in we took them back up to the sand hill before we went back to our piece of paradise in Lake Powell.

Names...

Just to confirm our names are Kyle and Kylee. Yes pretty similar. Yes only one letter difference...So I can't even begin to tell you how many times we have had people comment about our names. It is so funny to some people. I don't think it is that funny. Ironic yes. It's like they start talking about it and think they bring up a point that no one has EVER brought up before...which in fact we have heard it all too many times and so many different things are brought up. HaHa Do people really think Kyle and I are that dumb to not notice there is only one letter difference in our name? I mean really?! The great lengths people go to think about things to tell us. That is the comical part. The things people come up with to say to us about our names being so alike?...let me just tell you - R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S! Oh and the awful names they come up with for future children.....uh no my children's names will not begin with Kyle or Kylee - fyi.

We got to go out to the lake and enjoy some sunshine! :) My lilttle sister was in town and then Chavis and Dashelle came with us too! It was such a beautiful day and not too many people out at Quail. It was even smoothe enough for me to salolom ski! YEAH - that was great! The water is a lot higher than it has been in the past couple years so jumping off of the cliffs wasn't as high, but still lots of fun!

Beaver High Adventure Camp - Girl's Camp

I was lucky enough to get to go to girl's camp again this year since I am in the Young Women. I love my calling and I truly love the girls that are in my ward. Each of them are so amazing and I was able to get to know some of them so much better while we were up at camp! We were lucky enough to get to go to this beautiful place....I love the little yellow flowers scattered and that there was still a little snow up on the mountain tips!

BEAVER HIGH ADVENTURE CAMP - outside of Beaver, Utah

Seriously...the scenery could not have been more incredible. The sun was out and everything went so well. We all got to do some pretty awesome stuff while there...zip lining, the running squirrel, and lots of other technical courses. It was lots of fun! I think I enjoyed these as much as the girls - haha! While up there we were able to be in God's beautiful creations and feel of the Spirit so strongly. I love that about being able to get away from everything going on in the world and just escape for one purpose and that is to get closer to our Heavenly Father. I know that while I was there I came closer to him and had my testimony strengthened. I am so grateful for the experiences I was able to share and have while up at camp and be around such great girls and other leaders. I will cherish these memories forever!

Our group was working together on activities learning to "trust" and "rely" on others. Somewhow I got talked into participating in all of them...this one was the scariest. Though I was going to get dropped. Don't worry, they caught me. I am ok.

Our YW are so AWESOME! I love them and have so much fun with them all...usually I get tied in with them as being counted as a YW too. For now, I don't mind, nor do I correct anyone. HaHa

I am so glad that there is a day especially for our "fathers." I think my Dad obviously needs a few extra special days just for him because he is pretty awesome...just sayin'. I am so lucky to have such a amesome, loving, caring, righteous, funny, smart, witty, fast, adventurous, incredible, most amazing dad ever! He seriously is the best. I was seriously blessed when I came into this world to the two of the most amazing people I know, and am lucky to call them my parents.

Kyle and I got to go and be part of Cavett and Amanda's wedding ceremony. Kyle and Cavett have been friends for a long time and so we were so happy to go and share their special day with them in a beautiful place we all love so much! The ceremony was lovely - it was small, cozy and the Bishop gave them both some really great advice and words of wisdom and encouragement on setting goals. It was nice to be a part of and listen to what he had to say. It made me reflect back to my own wedding day! Thank you Cavett and Amanda and Congrats! We are so happy for you!

Kyle and I got to go and accept the "best of state" award for Hansen's Landscape this year! It was a lot fun because it is a formal event and so we got to fancy up a bit. I felt like I was back in high school headed to prom... but was with my cute husband instead and I happened to wear the same high school prom dress! Ha Ha kind of funny, but pretty proud of myself too! Thanks Ky for a great date night!!

Laurie accepted the "best of state" award for elan woman, so she and her husband were there with us too - which made for great company!

So we gathered the clan from STG, and ironically our table, and got a photo of Laurie for Elan Woman; Kyle for Hansen's Landscape; and Irmita for Irmita's yummiest authentic Mexican food in town! Congrats Best of State Winners!!

Girls Weekend!

Us girls have been LONG awaiting to get together. It seems whenever we catch up it is for something and before we know it the weekend has come and gone already....So we finally made it happen - A GIRLS WEEKEND!! Let me just say how much fun I had and how lucky I am to have such great friends/roomies! Love these girls! :)
We stayed in Las Vegas out at the Red Rock Resort - it was so lovely! We got some nice "sun time" in for sure! Some maybe a little too much...hopefully no one's burns stay for long. It was just great to get to hang out and catch up with everyone and everything that is going on in their lives! Holy cow things change fast with all of us - so there is always news! I love it!
Kristen and I straggled in on Friday to meet up with the others - We went out for PIZZA and got the lovely tour of Andrew's place - it was beautiful and so "homey." Afterwards we went and checked in and just hung out in our room and chatted with the girls all night - or I should say til early morning! :)

Saturday we hung out at the pool most all day. It was perfect. So relaxing and very much needed...we were all WHITE!! HaHa

a trip long over due

WE finally have arrived....we have been wanting to make this trip for some time now out to San Jose. Kyle served his mission out here and we keep in touch with quite a lot of people from out there - so we were able to finally come out! I was so excited to see the area since I hadn't ever been to northern cali before and also to meet the wonderful people that Kyle talks so much about and ones I have spoken on the phone with before. This trip was so great for Ky and I to go on together and we enjoyed every single minute! Of course, Kyle had the trip planned down to every minute for every day. It was busy - but it was great because we got to do some awesome things, see so many people, and go to some amazing places!!

The first day we got to go around and go down the coast line. We left SJ after having a yummy breakfast with Jim & Olivia and headed down to Santa Cruz, on to Monterrey, then on down through the 17 mile drive to Pebble Beach and to Carmel Beach. The drive was beautiful and it was so fun to see all of these places!! We also got to stop over to Gilroy and have dinner with the Kumars. It was so fun to catch up with them and finally get to meet Jennifer. Her girls are the sweetest and they both love Kyle so much! It is so cute! :)

The second day, we took a scenic drive on up to San Francisco which could not have been more perfect! We took a drive up through some of the redwood trees, which was really cool. Then we got to stop at San Gregrio State Beach - AWESOME! Then headed on up through Halfmoon Bay and finally to the city - San Fran!

The city was really cool. We first went over to the Golden Gate Bridge, then went down "Lombard St." then over to Coit Tower - where we could see just about everything. It was incredible. The views were amazing - luckily we were there on a very clear day. It was really great! We went around all down town and then got to meet up with a very awesome family - The Schoellers. They are so great - Mark and Iko have 3 super cute girls that were a lot of fun and are seriously the cutest girls ever! We love them! Brenda also got to come - we all went to dinner together and it was so much fun because we went out for Sushi! So GOOD! We got to go back into San Jose and got to hang out with the cutest couple - Philip and Bridget Lloyd. We met up and went bowling and then decided to go out for pizza at like midnight! Ha Ha it was a lot of fun!

On Saturday we decided to spend some time in town and go and visit so many people after Kyle got to go and play a few games of basketball! There was a big group of guys that used to play while he was on the mission that still play - so he was definately excited to fit that into his schedule while we were in town. IT was really great - and so much fun to be able to finally get to meet all these wonderful people Kyle got to get to know from his mission. We got to go all over the area - some people we planned ahead to see and others we just dropped in on. I was impressed how well Kyle had remembered where people had lived. They were all so excited to see him - he was/is loved by so many wonderful people. It was really neat to see that. That evening a couple families - The Carmacks - The Pireira's - The Mourtisens all got together with us to have dinner. It was lots of fun! We really enjoyed ourselves with all of them.

Sunday we went to church with the Abrams and once again got to catch up with more people that Kyle knew. Everything has been so much fun - we are truly blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. Kyle had such a wonderful experience while out on his mission and has so many wonderful people that helped him and influence him so much - even today. We are grateful to have them in our lives and hope to be able to make this trip to visit often!

Over Mother's day weekend it was quite the fiasco in town with the Iron Man going on, but we managed to survive -haha. The guys did some golfing on Friday and Saturday - the weather was so nice...not too hot, and even had a little breeze. G'ma Kaye, Becca, myself and the kids enjoyed walking around downtown going through shops, we went to the St. George Museum, went to Sandies' Antiques store (we love this place), and watched some of the competitors in the Iron Man. G'ma Kaye bought me the prettiest table cloth - that was hand made...it is beautiful! I will have to take a picture. We all enjoyed some good BBQ food all weekend since we weren't up to going out! A couple months back Kyle's gradparents had their 50th Anniversary, so we figured since we all were together that we would celebrate the occasion! It was a great weekend together with everyone and nice and relaxing!

So I was able to make a mad dash to Idaho to see my family. I hadn't been home since Thanksgiving - so it was definately due time for me to go! Oh how I miss home...it was so great to go even though it was freezing cold - I got to see lots of family, see my aunties new house, cruise out on the farm with dad, go through the cows on the farm with Papa, eat good food, go to church with my family, see familiar faces, visit and catch up...it was just a great weekend!! Luckily, Car got to make the trek with Kruz and I on the way. However, for some reason I managed to not get a single picture the whole weekend....not like me. Something is definately wrong with this. :(

I am the luckiest girl because I have 2 amazing sisters that got to stay with me ALL weekend long! I love when I can hog them and just spend time together - it is the best!! They are 2 of my favorite people and I love them more than anything. We are 3 best friends that always have fun together no matter what we do! :)
Hailey arrived in town extremely late on Friday night or rather I should say Saturday morning...don't worry I definately didn't let her sleep in! We ordered our bountiful baskets and went to pick them up first thing Saturday morning....on our way back to the house we stopped at Old Navy because they were having a sale from 7 to 10 only so we thought we would check that out too...we did. 60% swim suits. We each got one to start this summer off! With our morning already so productive we couldn't stop there, so off to the dog park we went. It was so much fun! Kruz and Pumpkin were loving every second...Kruz I think just followed and copied every other dog there, while miss pumpkin was a little more content playing with her toy and visiting with everyone who adored her ;) It was a great way to start the morning off with them.. ya know get them tired for the rest of the day! Ha! They got pretty dirty/muddy from the park so we stopped by A+ Pet Supply to try out their new self serve dog wash center. I must say it was so convenient! I would totally go back to that place in a second! Brilliant.
Now that it is only mid morning. Yes only 10:30 now. We went back to pick up Carli and Kyle and find a few others to go down to the college sand pits to play some sand volleyball! Mitch and Kade joined us in playing. First off it was the most beautiful day we have had yet - and secondly, glad we all were a little rusty....It was so much fun to be out there playing in the sunshine! Love this STG Sun!! We spent most the rest of the afternoon there. They have made that spot such a nice location. Before it was a pretty un-useful area.
Now we decided to lay out in the sun for a bit while hay had to work on some things for work...boo. A movie is definately in order...we went to "Soul Surfer." We all enjoyed it very much and probably shed a tear too many. Yes I know, we're ridiculous.

Sunday we were off to church and I had to teach...glad that is over. I always get so nervous. Anyways we definately had some great relaxing time all together.

Basically it was a perfect weekend. I always say this...but I really wish we all lived closer to eachother. LOVE YOU SISTERS!! xoxo

Terri Clark Concert

I heard Terri Clark was coming to town and I was pretty excited - I of course had to get tickets to go to her show. One I love country music more than any other kind of music and two, because Terri Clark's first album was one of my favorites when I was young. It was one of the first CD's that I bought on my own. So my sisters and I loved jamming together to some of her down home country tunes. With that, I took my little sister Carli with to the concert. It was so much fun....we first went to dinner together to Texas Roadhouse and then headed over for a great evening at the show!

Keri Noble was who opened for Terri Clark. I loved her music. It was really unique and I really liked her style. It was a lot of fun listening to her and finding someone new to listen to. It was just her and her keyboard piano. Lovely.

So Terri Clark is a lot of fun. It was a really cool setting that she had set up with her guitars. She has this tour going " Unplugged" so she does it all acoustic and I really enjoyed it. I love her music. It is a lot of fun and even more fun because I have so many memories with a lot of her older music.

Terri and Keri came out to close up with a song. They have such different voices, but it sounded really great together. It was a great performance.

FIJI TTIME!!

I seriously I am the luckiest girl EVER! So my parents decided once again to take us on yet another incredible most awesome trip to a quite remote location to Kadavu FIJI! We were able to go over Kyle and Carli's spring break so it worked for them not missing too much school. I can't even explain how much I was looking forward to go and then once we connected with everyone to head out on our rendevous....it was all PERFECT. I love my family so much - it just doesn't seem like we get to be together often enough. So everyone made their way to LA (actually I guess just Kyle and I did since everyone else was already in LA) then met up at LAX International and we got ready for the "red-eye" out of LA straight to Nadi, FIJI. Yes it is quite an excrutiating 11 some odd hours. Everyone wanted to sleep and I was so excited I couldn't sleep so I kept Hailey up and chatted up with her. It's moments like that where I just am so grateful for my sisters. I am lucky to have such great friendships with them and so glad that we can connect so well and be the best of friends. Hailey and Carli are the best sisters EVER! xoxo.... So sometime in the air we are probably into the next day by now and then cross the international date line so lost another day.....ugh! Anyways, we get to Nadi and have to head over to catch our next domestic flight to Kadavu. I must say that was the most smooth transition we have ever had at the Nadi airport. I mean "Sanga Na Langa" can only work so much for me in the airport. Yes I do understand "FIJI TIME" all too well. However, the flight was great...45 minutes, not bad. Some guys that work with the resort we are staying at, picked us up to go and hop on the boat (maybe I should say a "dingy") that would get us to the resort.

Yes, we arrived. Matava Resort is where we resided the whole week. It was beautiful. Eco-friendly. No computers. No TV. No phone. No real world. Just utter beauty surrounding you and adventure to await. Amazing. It was perfect - ok perfect until we had to climb the hundred some odd stairs to get to our bure. Ok once I saw the view I won't complain about the stairs. There was just our family and 3 fishermen from Austrailia that were there staying at the resort. Can't say it can hold much more than that Ha! It was great. Mom, Dad, and Carli had the highest climb to their place. Kyle and I were next below, and then Steve and Hailey were just below us in their bure. We got all settled in and enojyed a little relaxation......

My dad had to go out there to make phone calls back to the farm...haha it was so funny.

READY TO DIVE! So I must say that this is the main reason we come to places like this. The diving is supposed to be INCREDIBLE. Coming here we get a lot of bonuses that come along with that. :) So this year is even different from the year before diving because the lil car car decided to get "certified" and become a diver like all the rest of us....ok except mom still...that is going to take a lot more work for sure. Maybe never - but I hope that is not the case. So we dove dove and dove and it was amazing! We saw lots of beautiful fish, TURTLES, and sharks - they were really great dives!!

Since the resort is an "eco-friendly" resort, they unfortunately didn't have some of the things other resorts may normally have, which "our bad" for not really paying attention to that minor detail when packing. So the staff mentioned to us that we could go to their "mall" to pick up whatever we needed. First, we are thinking...where in the world is there mall on this "un-developed island"? and second how long will it take us to get there? So Ok well if you have a mall, we're thinking we won't have a problem finding whatever we need. To our benefit their so-called "mall" was a 3 minute boat ride....not to worry. Mom, Hailey, Carli and I decided to go and see what we would be able to find. Once we arrived, let's just say it was not a mall. :) We did find the shampoo we were looking for though. All is well.

One afternoon hanging out after diving, we were sitting for lunch and a boat showed up. A lady, Nancy, and her son Ben (ironic that they were from Utah) were going around Kadavu letting the resorts know about their non-profit organization they created to help villages on Kadavu use their own water resources to have fresh drinking water. It was really neat speaking with them and hearing about all of the wonderful things they have done to help the villagers on Kadava. Their non-profit is called Wananavu Kadavu.So Fiji has some amazing things to offer tourists other than diving and sitting in the sun. We got to go and visit waterfalls agian. We have been able to do this in the past before and we loved it! We all were so excited to go. It was great because we first had to go through the village to get to the falls. It was a lot of fun to meet some of the other people that live in the village. A lot of the staff were from there.

We had got back from the waterfalls, and the fishermen returned with a huge trophy fish. It was a couple kilo's away from beating the Fiji record for a "yellow-fin Tuna." It was so cool...oh and really really really big. We show up for dinner later that night and apparently they wanted to eat it so bad, we all had super fresh sushimi for an appetizer....oh my, I had never had such fresh fish ever in my life. I mean a couple hours prior to dinner they had just barely caught this ginormous fish! It was awesome and my whole family loves sushi :)

Back to diving...Our dive crew was so much fun. Simon was the "boat captain" and referred himself as the "boss." Tey was our divemaster. They were lots of fun and were such happy people. Since we were diving, we all got spend lots of time together on the boat. so there is a dive site that is near by called "Manta -Reef." I'm sure you can already guess what we were going to be able to see there. Yes. MANTA RAYS!! :) So far our dive master has said ok today on this dive you are going to see this this and this and he has been right on everything so far.....so when today when Tey said ok "you are going to see Manta Rays cleaning today....we were all so excited and could hardly wait!! So the pool is open and we all go diving. We get down into the dive about 2 minutes I think and that is when we saw our first Manta Ray. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. It was so graceful as it moved through the water. It was huge! It was 15-20ft. in diameter. AMAZING! Anyways the 2 dives we were there diving with the Manta's and it was absolutely an incredible experience. Kyle had gotten his foot cut up a little today, so Maggie had to dr. him up a bit and get it all cleaned up. poor guy.

There is always a Fijian Lovo Night, where they cook a very traditional Fijian meal and cook it in the ground and basically cook it by steam. It is really cool the process that they do it. This night also includes a little dancing too :)

We got to spend some time with these cuties - Kyle's little brother and sister! Megan and Jake are growing up so fast...its crazy! We got to do our gift exchange for Christmas while we were all together too since we weren't able to make it up there during the holidays because of all the crazy snow storms...anyways we sure love getting to spend time with our family! Today, Kruz is now 2, which I think in "doggy years" he would be 14!! Ha! He is such a blessing in my life - I love him so much! I think he is really just helping prepare me to be a mom one day- who would have thought huh? He is my buddy, my sidekick...EVERYDAY. I am pretty darn lucky he is able to go to work with me!

Shutter Love!

So Kyle and I have been wanting to put shutters up on the front windows...ya know to give it a little more personality...just like us. So off to Lowes we went! Yep, we found some shutters and better yet they were on closeout! WooHoo!! We were feeling good about it even more...I am pretty proud of our "thrify" project!

Next was deciding what color we wanted to paint these beauties...decision was unanimous - Dark Forest Green! I love this color - especiall for the shutters. It will blend with the landscape so perfectly! Can't wait to see them up! (This was 3 coats later...)

So I wanted to take a picture before I hung these gems....this is where the shutters are going - the front two windows!

Ta DA! Doesn't it make such a huge difference?! Oh I LOVE LOVE IT! Kyle and Mitch did a great job hanging them for me. :)

I definately love how the green just ties everything together in the yard now. It adds extra color for being the winter with my Crape Myrtle in front being dormant...but now I can't wait til SPRING!! My grass will be more green, the trees with have leafs on them, and things will start BLOOMIN'!!

I love how my home and yard have come together exactly how Kyle and I have wanted. It is perfect for us! We are so blessed that we were able to do all of this on our own with so much help from family and friends - we couldn't be more proud of all that we have accomplished with "our home makeover" project! I LOVE MY HOME!

The ceremony was beautiful - I love the STG Temple...the bride was BEAUTIFUL, the groom looked handsome...the weather couldn't have been anymore perfect for a day in January...perfect union of a great friend to be married to her eternal companion - they are so happy...and a great reunion with many great friends that I love so very much!

I am so grateful for the great friends that I have and what amazing women they are. They have truly blessed my life and I will be forever grateful for being able to cross their paths and have so many wonderful memories with them that I will ALWAYS cherish and remember! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

We brought in the new year by spending the day up snowboarding at Brian Head - which by the way was AWESOME! They had tons of snow from the numerous storms we have had lately!! It was great to go up and spend the day with my favorite person! ;)

I mean St. George even got snow - uhh here is all the snow in my back yard. Kruz didn't know what to think....he thought we were back in Idaho! However, it didn't last long at all...

So Kyle and I thought we would walk down to whatever they were doing down on Main Street....but that is really all it took....walk there and see what they were doing and then walk home. Kruz enjoyed the walk, but that is the only thing positive that I can note from that. HaHa! In a nutshell, it was a big dispappointment and it was just a bunch of high school kids that had no where to go or nothing to do....blah.

I will say the fireworks that went off at midnight were AMAZING - 10 straight minutes of awesomeness in the air. Perfect view from my back door since they were lit off at the Dixie Rocks. That made me happy! I love fireworks! :)

My cousin Skye and her husband Cody finally (born a little past his due date - Skye was pretty ready to have him out already!) had their little boy arrive on December 28...he is too cute for words! I was able to go and visit them at the hospital the next day and spend a little time holding the little guy! He is such a good baby and soo stinkin' cute! I just love him! He was born to a mommy and daddy who love him very much - what a lucky lil guy!

Disneyland on Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

As we entered the "Magical Kingdom" I saw this beautiful Christmas tree! Ahhh it is Christmas! :) I was absolutely shocked at how many people there were at Disneyland on Christmas! HaHa til today I would have though it was closed for Christmas! Boy was I wrong!

We started out doing all the fun and crazy rides in the Disneyland Park - Space Mnt., Splash Mnt., Thunder Mnt. - and a whole handful of others!

I of course wanted to go over into "Toon-town" to make a visit to my very good friend (a friend since I was little tike), GOOFY! He has always been my favorite!

In case you don't know, Goofy is an extremely wanted dog...I mean I saw a line to go and get a picture with him and Kyle was like uhhh...can we come back later?! I couldn't believe it - deep down my heart was broken...but I agreed to come back later only if we could finish walking through the rest of "Toon-town!" We meandered through there and laughed at parents and children ---uhh what a nightmare we both thought! Anyways, as we are headed out I see Goofy leaving his line!! So I immediately rushed over to him as he was walking away from that dreaeded line and I asked if I could quickly get a snapshot with him...oh my I think he had a new crush on me!! Haha...he got so excited and grabbed me by the arm and we took off and left my hubby in the dust! Kyle said it was pretty funny! Anyways he must have just been moving to a new "picture taking" location - so lucky me I got to walk with him to his new spot and be first in line!! Yes it did make my day!

Christmas in Newport

We arrived to stay with Kyle's family in Newport on Thursday. They had rented a house on Newport Beach for us all to stay at while we were there for Christmas vacation. It was fun to get together with everyone and be at the beach.
Our first night there we went and walked through this outside garden area and then went to dinner at "The Crab Cooker" - oh man...it was so YUmMMY!! Kyle ordered the crab legs and they were so dleicious...I ordered the scalllops and they were just as yummy!! AMAZING!
We spent a lot of time down on the beach...luckily the weather was so nice so it was really great to be out in the sunshine! We took Cozette down to put her toes in the sand....I think she liked it!

Klara and Cozette - they are such good little babies. It was so much fun to get to be around them since we don't get to see them too often. They have gotten so big and are getting their own personalities! I just love them to pieces! :)

All the guys got these RC cars and trucks that they took down to the beach and built up ramps and raced them against eachother. It was fun to watch them all get into it.

Of course down at the beach there are always beautiful sunsets....but I was pretty impressed each night with the beauty that surrounded us down at the water! REally pretty. :)

We went on lots of rides on the boardwalk on the bikes and longboards. The girls had a little cart they could lay in or in their stroller where they could come along too! We were pretty lucky to have such nice weather while we were there!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!! Today was my Mom's birthday so it was extra special since we ALL were able to be together and celebrate and head to Vegas to watch BSU play!

BSU got put in the Las Vegas Bowl to play UTAH!! It was so much fun to get to go to another bowl game to watch our Broncos :) The Base near by did a huge fly by with 3 jets...it was awesome...but then 3 of the men from the group "Boys II Men" sang the National Anthem! It was pretty cool...my sisters and I really liked them growing up! It was a great way to start the eveing for sure!

Ok I am probably the only one that gets a good kick out of watching Dog Shows on the Animal Planet, but hey it's a good laugh! Listening on the show, the commentator is usually an English male, and he sure loves it when the bitches perform well....HaHa! (female dog...get it?!)Anyways and so it became an inside joke with us and since my sister has a female English Bulldog I found this hilarious shirt for Pumpkin online.... If you need help reading from the photo her shirt says, "Bitches have more fun!" I still am laughing as I type this....

Well I obviously couldn't buy something for Pumpkin and not get something for Kruz. That is breaking like some kind of parent rule I think. Anyways, so as I continued to search the apparal I then found Kruz "his" shirt, and boy does he wear it proudly! He has always seemed to think of himself as Mr. Casanova as he struts around, so the shirt for him seemed very fitting, ya know being a lady magnet and all...so the one I found for him says, " Bitches <3 Me"... once again I am still laughing!

Now Precious, she is the puppy Bulldog, is my Mom's new pup and I had taken some of Kruz's things with me when we visited last and she will never get to fit in the Bronco Jersey again so I thought I better capture it while I could. HaHa It definately was a nip and tuck jersey for her...well if anything came from this post it was a good laugh for myself. Enough to note. :)

November where did you go?

Seriously? I can' t beleieve November has come and gone...ugh! Where did the time go?

-Christmas shopping complete before Thanksgiving....of course! Check.

-Pumpkin picked up and ready to go to Idaho with us. Check.

-Prepared to go to Idaho and freeze our rears off!. Partial Check.

-Ready to be 25?! No check.

Anyways, for Thanksgiving this year we were able to make the road trip to GF! Oh how I love to go home... However, the normal 8 hour drive turned into a 12 hour drive...ugh....yes the I-84 was closed because of the wintry wonderland that happened to come thru as we were coming thru! Of course we were not going to let this storm hold us up from getting home that night...so we made the turn off to Pokey instead! Mind you in the care was myself, Carli, Kyle, and of course the dogs...Yes, Kruz and Pumpkin could not be left behind. Yes, it was a white out driving there....semi's and cars off the road....yikes! Carli took her little green machine through it like it was nothing! So now that the 12 hours was over, we were finally "home!"

While we were at home we got to see lots of family and friends. It is always so great to get to catch up with everyone! It was so so COLD....I have become a serious wuss now that I live in STG! :( It was hard enough to take the dogs outside....they even hated it! haha On that note, we did spend quite a lot of our time inside with mom's famous hot fudge cocoa and next to the fireplace! Ahhh....I love that!

THANKSGIVING!
Funny, this year my 25th Birthday landed on Thanksgiving, November 25, 2010! Kind of cool to have my special day on another special day! ;) Maybe this is why I love Pumpkin Pie so much. I love it a lot actually...so much that I would rather have a "birthday pie" than a birthday cake! However, I will admit I felt pretty old knowing that I am officially 25! Carli reminded me that I am a quarter of a century old now...? Really!?!! Gee thanks....way to make ME feel happy, I mean crappy, j/k.

Since it was my birthday, I was fortunate enough to have gifts to open! Yes gifts...plural. I was a spoiled girl this year....oh wait I seem to get spoiled every year. I really don't deserve all I am given, but I must say I got some really great things! Thank you thank you!! xoxo I love everything! Now I can look great, walk better, and smell fabulous all through for a couple days! Haha
We quickly got a lovely snapshot of the family before we dove into our Thanksgiving meal.

Food: TURKEY, Stuffing, Rolls(thanks Bob!), Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, cranberry sauce, Cranberry/pinapple jello, Green Salad, Mandarin salad, Sweet Potatoes, ?? I feel like I am forgetting something? Anways, you get the point...a lot of yummy goodness to be THANKFUL for!
Household included: Mom & Dad, Ginny & Papa, Hailey & Steve, Tyler, Carli, Kyle & I, and of course....Kruz, Pumpkin, and Precious. :) We had a couple additions for Pie. Dustin & Megan, and Bubba came up later to enjoy the aplethera of pies that we had! We had Pumpkin of course, we couldn't go without having an applie pie, Marion-berry - we had to have a berry, pecan pie...a favorite of many, oh and of course a coconut cream pie....a family favorite! I would say we had plenty of pie...which all were very delicious might I add!
Friday came and when I say Friday I mean "Black Friday." Kyle and I were planning on going to go to Bogus to go Snowboarding, but the wind was ridiculous! :( I went back to bed....wasn't really feeling the shopping this year too early either. I was a virgin black friday shopper until 2008. I married into a family that LOVES black friday. 08 we were in Vegas. 09 in NYC. It was a lot of fun, and of course we found some really great things for some really great deals at really early hours in the morning....like 4am early! However, this year we waited til later in the day to go...Kyle was of course ready to go and shop! ;) Who would have thought my husband was the one dragging us women to go shopping?! Sounds odd I know...but true. He found some really great things. Ok I found a couple things too....;) I was so glad we ended up going because we ran into Dana and Katie! It was so so great to see them and catch up and then have them come along and shop with us too! Love them!
If you know us Noble's...we love us some movies. So of course when we are in Boise we tend to make our way over to see one....Tyler came up and met us to go and see "The Last 3 Days" with Russell Crow. Yep, it was a good one. I liked it....maybe took a little longer to get to the climax than I prefer, but hey I didn't have any say in it. Back home to GF we go.

Once again if you know my family we are HUGE, and I mean seriously huge BSU fans. We ended up not going to the game because Dad was in corn harvest. At home we were all still in our BSU fan club gear, including the dogs cheering them on. However, as we were watching the game we just knew Boise was going to once again be vitorious and have yet another great year undefeated and play in yet another amazing BCS game. To our sad disappointment after the BSU vs. NEVADA game we were wrong. :( I feel for Kyle Brotzman. I can't imagine the pressure he was under, not just once that night, but two times. Of course he is getting blamed for the loss of the whole game and not going to a BCS game, but he can't be blamed for EVERYTHING. Unfortunately, BSU won a lot, but lost one...to Nevada none the less. I still love my Broncos!

Saturday with it snowing, Dad wasn't able to do corn that day, so he was able take the boys and go snowmobiling! Kyle and Steve were so excited to go. They love it. Dad loves it even more. Us girls love it too, but we decided not to go and let it just be the guys. So we all enjoyed the day! Mom took us down to the Glenns Ferry's annual holiday bazaar. It was great....the ladies in town know how to make some amazing things...it was fun to go and meander through the vendors and see what they had to offer and taste! ;) Obviously we knew everyone there...GF isn't very big ya know. So it was great to see all the familiar faces we haven't seen in a long time. One more reason I love to come home. It is so nice to feel so welcomed and loved by your community. I love Glenns Ferry.

The dreaded drive back home came on Sunday. We got outside bliss and the roads were once again awful. Icy. Cold. Miserable. I-84 closed again! So 511 was now on my speed dial to check the road reports...awful basically all the way home...12 hours on the way was miserable we were looking at more of a 24 hour bad day coming. We called to see if it would be ok if we waited to come home on Monday, since the news was saying things should clear up. Yes we got the word to wait. THANK YOU! We turned around and went back to my parents house. We enojyed the day lounging around, watched more football, ate leftovers..yummy!, and watched the movie Grown-ups! Ha ah that was pretty funny...I hadn't seen it yet, but I liked it!

Bright and early Monday morning getting ready to leave...oh wait Kyle locked the keys in the car...oh gosh! :( Delayed departure. Luckily dad had a guy over at the shop that knew how to do that stuff...ya know get us in our car! He succeeded. On the road we went. Goal to be home by 5:15 pm so Carli could make it to class. I-84 was supposed to open by 10am so we planned to go through around that time. As we approach the junction, we stop to fill up and we find out they have postponed opening the I-84 until noon! Great, that means we have to go to Pocatello AGAIN! Ugh....in for a long day driving once again. Yes, in the car is still 3 adults and 2 dogs! :) Well the roads were tons better...so glad we waited it out! We made home at 5:05, plenty of time for Car to make it to class! Home sweet home!

So found out my sister was going to have a 3-day weekend....I thought to myself "I haven't been to Hailey's in a LONG time..." I found out my parents were possibly going...bonus. Then I was trying to convince my little sister to come along with me for the getaway since Kyle was going to be off hunting...and off to CALIFORNIA we went!

I always love getting together with my family and luckily I was able to join and not miss out on any of the fun!

*meandered down 3rd and Promenade in Santa Monica (which then got the song by Savage Garden stuck in my head...wierd seeing how i haven't listened to that in FOREVER - I'm thinking since middle school)

*ate at Enterprise Fish Co. - YUM YUM in my TUM

*Parallel Park -which I don't have to do in STG ever - just in LA

October 14, 2010 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY KY!

Kyle turned the big whopping "24" and sadly during the middle of the week with school and work and everyhing in between, we kept it a little low key....sorry honey. One of Kyle's friends he met while out on his mission was driving through with his girlfriend...they stopped and stayed the night with us. They didn't get to our house til about midnight...they were hungry...so we all decided to head to DENNY'S! HaHa it was lots of fun to chat and get to know Roger and listen to Kyle and him tell all sorts of hilarious stories! Anyways, by that time it was Oct. 14 and apparently at Denny's you get a free "Grand Slam" meal on your Birthday! (FYI for those of you who love breakfast for dinner...) Late night...but good times! So for the next month I will enjoy being 24 with Kyle.... :)

The weekend rolled around and a friend, Laurie, had tickets to go to the DEW TOUR at the Hard Rock in Vegas! So we went down and enjoyed watching all the sk8ers show us their skillz! It was way cool to see how they set up the skate park in the venue - The Joint.

My Mom and her good friend Joyce started their road trip from Glenns Ferry and were destination bound to L.A.! They were headed to take Pumpkin and her pups to Hailey. So lucky me that St. George is about the half way mark for them when headed through. They arrived on Monday night and they got here and we went straight over to see "Tarzan" out at Tuacahn in Snow Canyon. It was a lot of fun to go and see the production out there - Thank you mom for treating us to a fabulous evening! The sweet little puppies have grown so much! It was so much fun to have them around for a little bit before they go to their new owners....they were just each getting their own little personalities and show their fiesty attitudes! Love them!

Mom and Joyce headed out to LA and were there the rest of the week and then came back to St. George for the weekend. Joyce hadn't ever been to Zion before, so of course we had to go and show her all of it's beauty! We drove up there and went up along Mt. Caramel Hwy and drove through the tunnels and came across BIG HORN SHEEP on the side of the road as we were driving by....it was awesome!

It was so much fun having mom and Joyce come visit! We had so much fun hanging out together...as always! We went and did fun things, ate some amazing food (yes we went to Samurai 21 and Anasazi Grill - my 2 STG favorites!), had nice walks, and they helped me do some re-decorating(thanks Joyce!) but most of all just enjoyed my visitors!

ROADTRIP!

After work on Friday we headed up and I have not been able to catch up with one of my friends for way too long and so we got to meet up with Allison and Thomas for Dinner! It was so much fun to catch up with them...sadly it wasn't for very long (and of course I didn't get a picture.., but it was still so mcuh fun! We had dinner at one of my favorite places there. ZUPAS!

So we were able to go up to Tooele to go visit our family! We were so excited to go up there because Kyle and I were ready to be in FALL weather and of course to see everyone! :) We got to make it to see one of Jake's soccer games....he was the goalie and he and an awesome save! Good job Jake! :)

After Jake's game we decided to go and spend the day up at "Strawberry Reservoir." It was BEAUTIFUL! I hadn't ever been up there before....we had lots of fun fishing...eating...playing with the dogs...enjoying the fall colors....and a lovely little hike!

Strawberry Reservoir

We had such a fun-filled weekend...the fun never stopped. and then we ended on going to Broadway's "THE LION KING." It was down town SLC at the Capitol Theater...which by the way is incredible inside....I hadn't ever been there before...but it was amazing!

The costumes were amazing...the whole show was GREAT...the seats were fantastic...and I had great company....I just loved it all! I can't even begin to explain how much I loved it! So Sara and her precious lil munchkins were in town for about a month off and on during September....IT WAS SO GREAT - had lots of fun with them! Klara & Cozette have changed so much seen I had seen them in July....I couldn't believe it! Klara has TONS of hair and Cozette is full of smiles and giggles - they are both such great babies! Sara was having Amy take some pictures of the girls together while they were here (no I can't take credit for the fab pics of the girls)....so I made them cute little PINK tutus!! I was so happy with how they turned out!! Also, Sara and I made some props for pictures....of course I think they turned out GREAT! We painted tires and found an old frame at the DI and repainted it with a vintage finish! :) It was fun! But here are a couple pictures of my 2 stinkin cute nieces... of course we didn't get any of us with Sara.. :( Sorry!! I just love them to pieces and wish they were closer...here were a couple of the pictures they shared with me! :)

So off to parker the Hansen clan went a couple weeks ago.... Steve recently had his jet boat re-finished and it turned out AWESOME! I hadn't ever been to Parker before, only heard lots about it from the fam. So we all drove down in the motorhome...which I think I slept most of the way :) (a great way to get from point A to B) Anyways here is the captain taking his boat out on the "Parker Strip" on the river.So when going along the river all the homes are on riverfront....however, through here it is like little islands of homes off of one of the corners, and the streets are the river....yep take your boat out to get where you need to go. I thought it was so cute! I loved it!!

My lil sister, Carli just turned 22 on September 8! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAR CAR!! Love you!

While we were at home over Labor Day we celebrated her birthday with my family on Monday morning before we left town....she got some super cute stuff! Of course, we had to go and wake her up to celebrate!! :)

Sadly, Carli had a super busy day on her actual birthday....SCHOOL ALL DAY! :( So after she was done for the day I took her out to dinner....she picked "Pizza Factory." It was fun to get to spend some time with her now that she has moved out....HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAR CAR!! xoxo I hope your day was as fabulous as you are ;)

This bench is so special to our family....it sits right off the street as you enter into Glenns Ferry. Carli and I stopped by before we left town. It is crazy to think that Shelby would be 20 years old this upcoming November! I am so so grateful fo my family and I know families are together forever!

I wish I would have had my camera when we stopped into the cemetary to see Riley's headstone. It was so fitting and so perfect. Aunt Denise and her family did a great job picking it out. It is so nice...we sure miss you Riley!! xoxo

I think it is so nice and it reminds me of so many wonderful memories that I have from growing up in Glenns Ferry up on the farm, awesome times down at the river with the boat and friends, and so many other things that I miss! Idaho - Part 2 - FAMILY TIME!!

So Ginny & Papa Just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary....I know amazing! It is so great to have such an amazing family - and I have just that! It was so fun to have all of us together over Labor Day weekend...it has been a long time since we have ALL been there.....thats right...my mom and her sisters and EVERY grandchild of Ginny and Papa were there... even Riley and Shelby were with us I felt! We had so much fun wether it was sitting out on the lawn chairs, hanging out at the arena, at the park playing games, or even eating...we all had a very enjoyable time! It is nice to be able to escape to somewhere we all enjoy so much! I obviously took lots of pictures (I really need to figure out how to do these photo collages that everyone does....but until then I will post each separate pic!)

Since we had all of us there, they decided they wanted to have a big group family picture taken....I didn't get one on my camera though so I will have to share that one later.... :)

We were definately ready for pictures to be over....lets just say we probably won't be having anymore any time soon....however, we are glad that we got them....it is always so nice to remember such fun memories through pictures!! I love all of my family so very much and it is so nice to know that we will be an eternal family, together forever!

With most of my cousins staying down at the "Three Island State Park" a couple of cousins planned games and activities for all of us to participate in....it was a good time!

Idaho - Part 1 (puppy time)

Ok just being in Idaho is so great....but I haven't seen Pumpkin or her puppies since she had them! Pumpkin and the puppies are at my parents' place and she is amazing - that is hard work to have puppies....probably something like having triplets I imagine....which I can't imagine! HaHA anyways....my mom is great. They are now 5 weeks old and are the most precious things in the world...ohh I just love them to pieces!! They got lots of loving this last weekend with all of us visiting! I seriously don't know how Hailey and Steve are going to sell them....I mean I want to keep them all myself! They are so sweet and cuddly - simply irresistable!

Ok I luv luv this picture of Pumpkin!! Car and I made her and the puppies lil tutu's and I must admit...I am super happy with how they turned out...I just loved how she is totally chic in her tutu and then totally has to make her daddy proud with her football that she can't live without!

It was so much fun to be home and get to be around these cute lil puppies and Pumpkin...she is such a good lil mama to these pups! I just hope she gets to feeling better real soon! xoxo

So on Friday I went down to Mesquite to go to the Launch Your World Event hosted by elan woman magazine. So I listened to some great speakers, got to know some really great women, and enjoyed some music sang to all of us ladies by Eric Dodge.

Loren Slocum was my favorite speaker from the event... she was awesome, said a lot of things that I needed to hear and just put a lot of things into a different perspective. Here is one of the books she has written....I have already read it - really great! I highly recommend reading it(especially if you need a quick "pick me up")...quick, easy, read that keeps you intrigued throughout!

So Kyle and I have been married for 2 years! Hard to believe that it has come and gone like that...we have truly loved every minute! I am so grateful to have Kyle in my life - I love him so so very much!

We have been wanting to go and see the show "O" in Vegas for a bit and so we decided this would be the perfect time to go and celebrate for our anniversary. We went down to Las Vegas on Friday after work hurried and ate at CPK and went to the 7:30 show since we probably would not have been able to stay awake for the late show at 10! haha

The show was absolutely AMAZING!! I highly recommend anyone to go. It is incredible - the things they did and how everything worked! AWESOME! I vote it the best show in Vegas! We both really enjoyed it to say the least! ;)

We thought that since we were in town we may as well just stay and enjoy it instead of making a quick trip down and back. So we had a nice room at the Mirage....had a beautiful view of the whole strip! Way cool....

This was the only picture I got of us....everyone is always going 100mph there so I didn't stop and ask anyone to take a quick snap of us....so instead we got a really close up of us! :)

The last 2 years we have had so much fun! WE ARE SO BLESSED - We have been able to do some really fun things, Kyle is still in school, we have the cutest dog in the world, we are blessed with such great family and friends, but most of all I am married to my best friend and the love of my life! Kyle is so good to me and would do anything for me! I just love him to pieces!

Lil Miss Pumpkin (Hailey's lil princess) had 6 puppies this last Saturday (July 31)! She had 4 lil girlies and 2 lil fellas! They are all so cute and all healthy! All of them ended up being the white with fawn just like Pumpkin and the daddy....so cute! So glad that Pumpkin is doing good and being a good mommy to her pups! Now I just can't wait to see them already! :) They will all be about Kruzer's size when I get to see them I'm sure!
