FIJI - VoliVoli - Heaven on Earth

So we were lucky enough to make it to FIJI again this year! Oh how we love FIJI and it was soooo nice to be back! There is not a more beautiful place on this earth I don't think. Since Sawyer got to come this year with us too Dad decided he wanted to stay on the main island, Viti Levu so that we just didn't have to do any additional domestic flights in FIJI. We stayed at VOLI VOLI and it was so incredibly amazing. We were lucky enough to get to see so many familiar faces of so many of the staff that work there. We had stayed at a nearby resort, Wananavu a few years prior and that was where our friendships began! So it was such a delight to get to see so many faces of old friends! There are no happier people than the Fijians. We are so blessed. Seriously, we take so much in this world for granted. Just be happy. I need to remember that ALWAYS.

Anyways, once we arrived we got to do A LOT OF DIVING!! Diving is what we love, its what we do and one of the main reasons why we go! FIJI is such a tropical oasis above land, but let me tell you, there underworld is even more incredible if you ever choose to explore it. Its so awesome. I have been diving for almost 15 years and its one of the most relaxing and one of the most favorite things to do. I am so glad that it is something that I get to enjoy with my family.

While we were there Sawyer also turned 1! I can't believe it has been a whole year since she has been in the family! Weird! We love her to pieces and she brings so much joy to all of us - she is such a little sweetheart with so much personality! Happy Birthday Sawyer - we all love you!!!

So while we were there we did a lot of diving - sun bathing - lots of sea shell searching - finding TONS of sand dollars - fishing - eating delicious food - relaxing -  napping in the hammocks - enjoying the pool - enjoying the beaches - enjoying the views - enjoying the sea life - enjoying one another's company and catching up - loving life - being grateful - making new friends - and continuing to
LOVE FIJI!!!

Visits!

AFter the holidays were over, Hailey and Soy and Carli and Pumpkin came and stayed a few days with us as they were headed back to Cali! So glad they did it is always so much fun!! :) We love visitors!
Soy loves to snuggle with her Auntie Ky!

along with Kruz and Pumpkin too!

Sawyer loved Uncle Ky to push her around on her shopping cart, read to her, and let her watch Micky Mouse Clubhouse with him on his phone - so funny and so cute!

Ginny has been in STG for the winter and it has been fun having her around and close by again - so we dropped in so sisters and Soy could see her!

Sawyer loves to face time and do Fish lips :) My favorite! xoxo

While they were here Hailey had been wanting to get some pictures of Soy and Pumps - this is what we came up with (thanks to Pinterest ideas) and I think we nailed it! haha it was so funny haha
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Newport for New Years!!

Kyle and I went to stay with Steve and Darci at the end of the month and spend New Year's with them in Newport! We tried to make it to Newport to stay with them a few other times through the month at the house they rented, but unfortunately Kyle and I have gotten sick one too many times the last few months that it definitely put a kink in our traveling to visit. Lame. At least we got to get there to end 2012 and begin 2013 - at the beach!

We spent a lot of time over at Corona Del Mar Tide Pools and exploring over there. It was lots of fun and we saw lots and lots of life! We love it!

We also spent lots of time sea shell searching on the beach...there is something so relaxing about it and rewarding when you find the perfect shell! We do it any time of the day, midnight no big deal - just get your headlights out huh Ky? We seriously spent hours and hours out there....it was awesome! We lucked out and had really nice weather there for the majority!

There is nothing better than the sunsets on the beach.... amazing really. Love it.

This is merely a sampling of the shells we collected. We were slowly going through each and cleaning them thoroughly so we didn't take the stench home with us. We had a lovely ambiance while doing so didn't we? ahha

Did I mention how much Kruz loves the beach? This little guy loves loves playing in the sand and he is such a good boy! We are lucky to have him! :)

Tide pool life of Sea Urchins and Star Fish...pretty cool!

Some more exploring at the tide pools at sun down....it was getting chilly. We love a good excuse to pull out the beanies ;)

Oh Kruz....such a ladies man in his muscle tee. Bitches really do love him. He just likes to wear his shirt proudly with all his confidence just in case anyone ever forgets ya know.

Jay and Amy and the kids were there for a few days too so we got to play lots in the sand with Aido. He loved building sand castles with uncle Kyle. Kyle is a master at castle design if ya didn't know. It's serious stuff.

Our finished product of "Kylee's Castle!!" I loved it :)

We did a lot of bike riding around Newport and would take the ferry across to Balboa and enjoy it over there too! We of course took our nightly midnight ride to the donut shop up at the Newport Pier. Nothing better than a donut at 1 am right?! They're delicious! :)

One of the days we were there we drove up to Crystal Cove and timed it perfectly to walk all the way down the beach while the tide was out to make it down to the tide pools at Corona Del Mar. It was an awesome day of walking along the beach, exploring caves, finding awesome shells to look at, found tons of sea glass and it was a beautiful day!

Thanks again for letting us come and stay at the beach house with you guys! It was so much fun to do that again! We loved it - and so glad we got to spend time with everyone! xoxo
