Day 4

So for the last day of the trip we decided to rent bikes and ride through all of Central Park! It was so much fun...however you are very much deceived because here in the middle of the city you think it is very flat....oh no! There were some big hills through the bike paths. It was so fun to see the sites in Central Park. We went by the big lawn and the bridge and Belvedere Castle.

Afterwards we went and at a pizzaria.....Bella Vita's! It was really really good pizza!! after that we had to make our way back to the JFK airport and head back home! Thanks for the fun trip!

Ky & Jordan at the Mac Store

Later in the day we went and took the subway to Ground Zero and walked through that area. It was so neat to be able to see it. The firefighters have put together a small wall memorial....it was amazing. It was really quite an emotional experience I thought.....so sad. We walked around down there and it was so cool what their plans are for the new memorial for 9-11. I would love to see it once it is completed!

K---so Kyle and I love the show, "The Office" so while we were down at the Rockafeller Center, the NBC Studio store was really close...We went there and by the way...Kyle now has a Dundee Award and also a Dwight Bobble-head. It was pretty funny when he showed me he got them...
So as we are walking down streets and such....we were starving. We love a good hot dog...and let me tell you...they were so yummy! I even had 2! :)

Day 2 in NYC = Macy's Thanksgiving Parade =really long post!

THURSDAY IS FILLED WITH ADVENTURE!!

Thursday morning, we got to go stand in line to get to our seats for the Macy's Parade pretty early! We had great seats to see all the amazing floats and it was nice because we were at the start of the parade. There were great and creative floats and of course all of the balloons were incredible and not to mention, HUGE! They look big on the TV, but in person they are unreal! I couldn't believe how many people they had holding each balloon so it wouldn't fly away! Crazy! :) (Luckily we had pretty nice weather and didn't get the rain we had the night before). It was so fun that all of us got to go and see it! It was a really neat experience we'll always remember! :)

Here are some of the floats that I liked best!!

After the parade we then decided we wanted to do some more exploring! We took the subway down to the Staten Island Ferry so we could go see the beautiful Lady Liberty herself! While taking the ferry to Staten Island we could also see Ellis Island. It was so cool! I actually imagined the Statue of Liberty to be a lot bigger but it was still incredible! :) I am so glad we got to go and see it! After we got back to the Hotel we got ready to go and fill ourselves full of an amazing Turkey Dinner! We went to a restaurant located in Central Park called the Boathouse. It was really pretty and the food was delicious! I was so full though! After rolling out of the restaurant Ky and I wanted to go down and go to Times Square at night with things all lit up and getting ready for crazy shoppers the next day!! It was so bright down there....the entire sides of buildings were lit up you almost forget that it was night time! :) We had a really funny experience in the "Charmin" bathrooms......they had a DJ up there and had computers to "rate your go" and all sorts of crazy things for a bathroom! Sara and I thought it was pretty funny.....especially on this huge toilet! After we completed our experience at Times Square we headed over to the Rockafeller Center and saw the BIG Christmas Tree....the ice rink....where they host the Today Show. Great Day!

Day 1 in NYC = MY BIRTHDAY!! :)

So for Thanksgiving this year, Kyle's mom decided NYC bound it will be!! How fun huh?! So All 9 of us adults (Steve & Darci, Jayson & Amy, Rhett & Sara, Kyle & I, and JorDan), meandering our way through the beautiful and exciting city! On Wednesday we mosied through all of the stores around 5th Ave. and then made our way down to SoHo, Chinatown, and of course, Little Italy! It was so incredibly neat to just go from one street to another and experience a complete different culture! It was great--I loved it! The city is so neat during the holidays with all of the christmas decor. We stayed at the Helmsley Park Lane Hotel and it overlooked all of Central Park --- yes all 800 odd acres in the middle of Manhatten! We ate some really great food----for dinner we ate at a place called "Quality Meats," and let me tell you---that's exactly what it was! Steve, Kyle and I shared this steak that was 45 oz.! It was huge, but the cut of the meat was AMAZING! Well, not only was our steak great, all of the food I tried was incredible! :) Kyle couldn't resist to tell the waiter it was my birthday---so I was treated with a delicious treat! Here are some photos from the day:

VON KRUZ

So since it was Halloween I had gotten a "prince frog"costume for Von Kruz! haha He looked so cute in it and to be honest I think he actually like wearing it. My Dad thought it was pretty funny so he got him a BSU bronco jersey for Kruz too! :)

The Family (minus Carli) ;(

It was such a fun weekend! Hailey and Steve flew in for the weekend and we all got to go to the game with my parents! Being Halloween they had an "orange out" at the BSU game. So of course we all wore our "orange" Bronco gear!

So Ky and I made a quick trip to Idaho for the weekend for some fun on the farm....to go to the BSU game.....and hang out with the family!

Ky hadn't ever been in a combine before, and luckily they were still in corn harvest so he was able to go out for a little while with my cousin Dustin and Ky got to "drive it" himself. They are awesome machines--pretty amazing what they can do. I even went out and made a few passes with my Dad....good times! :)
