time to brag...

Since I don't have kids of my own I can brag about others for them right? ;) OK so my sister Hailey's new baby girl is so perfect! I just love here to pieces...Hay and Steve named her "Sawyer Shelby Snedecor"
I love it! She is already such a blessing in our life and she has stole the hearts of all of us...seriously not lying. I am so glad that my mom got to be out there for when Sawyer was born. Dad, Carli, and myself were able to go out that weekend after she was born, which was perfect. I am so glad we finally got to meet her. She seriously just melts my heart....there is nothing so sweet as getting to hold her and just snuggle and kiss on her. I loved every second of it and being able to help out while I was there staying with Hailey and Steve. They moved into their new place a few months back and it is so so cute...Sawyer has the cutest nursery and they are seconds away from the beach...they are in their own little paradise. I love Seal Beach...such a quaint place. I can't wait to go back and visit! Here are just a "few" of the pictures I have of this sweet little gift in our life. Sawyer we are so happy you are here...aunty Ky loves you so very much!! I miss you so much already....xoxo

Sawyer you are such a precious gift to your mommy and daddy....oh and Pumpkin too! Just know you are always loved sooooo much! xoxo

I'm a sitter...

Friday Nat had asked me to watch Cal for them while they went out. He was so intrigued by Kruzer boy and Kruz was quite interested in him too! Kruz would move to play with his bone and Cal would speed crawl to him where ever Kruz went...it was pretty funny. Once they figured out that they wach liked their own toys better than eachothers, they just sat and played by eachother! HaHa

Kruz has a new best friend. He didn't want to leave his side...he even sat by his crib for a little while when I put Cal down for bed. It was pretty cute ;0)

Thanks for the fun night Cal! Kruz would love to play anytime! xoxo

Attempt...

Kyle and I have had a super crazy, hectic, busy, last couple of weeks....Kyle and I have been trying to schedule a night where it would work out for both of us to make it to go to the temple. Thursday was the day and it was perfect because we thought, what better way to celebrate my Papa's birthday then going to the temple, and because we are both needing some additional guidance right now. Because of our craziness in our life right now...we failed to realize the Temple was closed for some maintenance that they are doing there...so we got there and it was a beautiful night in STG so we walked around temple grounds for a while and we decided to go over and watch some of the films in the visitor's center for a little while since we were seeking some inspiration for a lot of big decisions coming up in our life. I'm so glad we did, the 2 films we watched were very inspiring and made us feel at peace with a lot of things. I am so gateful for the 2 wonderful sisters that were there at the Visitor's Center that night, they said a few things to us that were helpful to me and something I needed to hear. I am grateful we were able to cross their path and feel of their spirit. I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life and especially for the love that I feel from my Heavenly Father. I am grateful for Kyle and that he is my eternal companion. I am so glad that families are forever and that this beautiful temple is where so much of that begins.

Proud Wifey

This last weekend, Kyle had a DECA Collegiate State Competition up in Provo where is was competing in two categories. Kyle has been working so hard on this and getting prepared to compete non stop the last couple weeks is all. He was asked to joing DECA and he decided to and I am so glad he did - he did awesome at the competition! He placed 2nd in both categories that he competed in with his partners that he worked with.  That means that he qualified for Nationals in both categories too!! Woo Hoo!! :)I am so proud of him and his wonderful accomplishments! He seriously never seizes to amaze me in what he can do -- when he wants to of course... :)

Papa's Funeral Service

This was the Program for Papa's Funeral Service - I think it turned out perfectly.

Seriously, was he not the most handsome man? I think so! I love you Papa!

The service for Papa turned out so perfectly. First off, I have never seen the GF Chapel filled the way that it was with so many people there. What a Tribute to my Papa. Every chair inside was used and backed up through the overflow back to the end of the cultural hall too, and then even had people standing. It was quite a sight to see. Papa was loved by so many people. Everything that was said was so fitting and was so comforting to hear again or even for the first time. Aunt Denise gave the Life Sketch, Hailey and Casey wrote a poem, "Tribute to Our Papa" (See above - they did a FANTASTIC job!) that I was honored to read for them at the service (I prayed so hard to make it through and I did until I was done), Davy did an incredible job and reminded us what a "workhorse" Ginny and Papa are to everyone they are around, President Waddoups addressed us and shared some scriptures with us that were so applicable to Papa and the kind of man he is and shared a few funny stories about calling him to be a Bishop at 73. He was definately the Patriarch of our family and we will never forget him and the loving example that he set for all of us to follow. The music was really great too, Miss Field sang "Daddy's Hands" which happens to be one of my favorites, and she is such a dear family freind, that she of course added her own personal touch to the song. I loved it.
After the service we of course then went over for Uncle Dale to Dedicate the Grave and we followed the funeral line over to the cemetary, Tyler had Papa's truck and trailer parked on the road above the cemetary with Trophy, Papa's horse, tied up to the trailer. As the hearse was pulling into the cemetary, Trophy just happened to make a loud whinnie...that was really special to hear. We then headed back to the Church where the Relief Society prepared a wonderful meal for so many of us. It was so great of them to do that for us. It was delicious and it was so nice to get to visit with so many of our dear family and friends that had traveled quite some ways.

Happy Birthday Von Kruz!! We love you so much!
Kruz is now 3 years old - I really can't even hardly believe it! For his birthday this year he got to have a sleepover...haha Becca took him for the weekend for us while we went up to Idaho to my Papa's funeral.  I know that he had LOTS of fun because he slept the ENTIRE way home from Tooele on our drive back to St. George.
I just love Kruz so much, he is my little sidekick and I love that. Thanks for being the best dog ever even though we have a few "laws" we now live with. Ha Ha just kidding. I came across this pug laws and I think it is so funny. I covered a pillow for Kruz with this on it. It makes me laugh every time I read it, because there is some truth to it. :) xoxo

Happy Birthday Kruzer boy! We love you!

Cal Baby turned 1!

Callaway loving his birthday cake! It was so funny because he wasn't sure what to do at first, then slowly took bites of frosting, then before you know it, he was pasted in cake and frosting and laughing! Haha so cute! Happy Birthday Cal! :)

Natalie and Logan had us over to celebrate Callaway turning 1! Sadly, I didn't get pictures of all of her super cute decorations and EVERYTHING else she went all out on...but I will just have to say that it was so perfect and looked so great! She even made us all dinner, which was SOOO delicious. We even left with the cutest party favor bags! Like I said, she did not forget a thing - AWESOME party Nat! Thanks for having us over! :) We had so much fun!

My Papa

Ernest LaDell Handy
February 23, 1929 - February 5, 2012

My Papa is one of the greatest persons I know. He taught me so much in life and he was a living example of that. I loved him so much and I know he knows how much I love him and already miss him - I am so blessed to have had such a close relationship with him. I cherish all the rides we had - I will always be his little cowgirl. I am so lucky that I was able to grow up just a few miles away from Ginny and Papa. I couldn't have been blessed with better grandparents. I have so many wonderful memories with him that I will forever cherish.
I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life that I know because of the Plan of Salvation I will one day get to be with him and the rest of my family. I am so grateful to have that knowledge that families can be together forever. "Until we meet again" Papa...See you soon. I will love you forever!

Holy Cow....so the last couple of months have been insanely exhausting to say the least. Well that is for Kyle anyhow. He has been non-stop studying for the GMAT exam and I will try to help out as much as I can. I was doing good for a while...then it had to stop. It was too much for me. He is so dedicated and committed to it and getting a good score to be able to get accepted to the schools that he wants to. This is what has been going on in our office....SCARY - BEWARE!

Seriously? I know huh?! It really hurts my head looking at all of his notes from the bazillion problems that he practices! Anyways, I am so grateful that it is him doing it and not me :) I am so proud of him! In the mean time of making this decision to apply to grad school he has also been able to have a few internships with investment firms that he is loving and learning SOO much. He comes home and tells me all about it...I know he loves it. That is all he can talk about lately. Not sure how to explain this one, but there was a professor that was able to select a senior and KYLE got selected to go through the training to be a CFA! The nice thing about it is that it will be paid for, so I guess that would be kind of like a scholarship, something similar to that anyway. Oh and did I mention he is competing with DECA now too? Oh ya that is just another thing to add to his plate. Poor guy is exhausted, but it will all be totally worth it here soon. I know it. I am so proud of my hubbby. He is just simply amazing. I LOVE YOU KYLE - thanks for all of your hard work and all that you do for us! :) xoxo
