Newport for New Years!!

Kyle and I went to stay with Steve and Darci at the end of the month and spend New Year's with them in Newport! We tried to make it to Newport to stay with them a few other times through the month at the house they rented, but unfortunately Kyle and I have gotten sick one too many times the last few months that it definitely put a kink in our traveling to visit. Lame. At least we got to get there to end 2012 and begin 2013 - at the beach!

We spent a lot of time over at Corona Del Mar Tide Pools and exploring over there. It was lots of fun and we saw lots and lots of life! We love it!

We also spent lots of time sea shell searching on the beach...there is something so relaxing about it and rewarding when you find the perfect shell! We do it any time of the day, midnight no big deal - just get your headlights out huh Ky? We seriously spent hours and hours out there....it was awesome! We lucked out and had really nice weather there for the majority!

There is nothing better than the sunsets on the beach.... amazing really. Love it.

This is merely a sampling of the shells we collected. We were slowly going through each and cleaning them thoroughly so we didn't take the stench home with us. We had a lovely ambiance while doing so didn't we? ahha

Did I mention how much Kruz loves the beach? This little guy loves loves playing in the sand and he is such a good boy! We are lucky to have him! :)

Tide pool life of Sea Urchins and Star Fish...pretty cool!

Some more exploring at the tide pools at sun down....it was getting chilly. We love a good excuse to pull out the beanies ;)

Oh Kruz....such a ladies man in his muscle tee. Bitches really do love him. He just likes to wear his shirt proudly with all his confidence just in case anyone ever forgets ya know.

Jay and Amy and the kids were there for a few days too so we got to play lots in the sand with Aido. He loved building sand castles with uncle Kyle. Kyle is a master at castle design if ya didn't know. It's serious stuff.

Our finished product of "Kylee's Castle!!" I loved it :)

We did a lot of bike riding around Newport and would take the ferry across to Balboa and enjoy it over there too! We of course took our nightly midnight ride to the donut shop up at the Newport Pier. Nothing better than a donut at 1 am right?! They're delicious! :)

One of the days we were there we drove up to Crystal Cove and timed it perfectly to walk all the way down the beach while the tide was out to make it down to the tide pools at Corona Del Mar. It was an awesome day of walking along the beach, exploring caves, finding awesome shells to look at, found tons of sea glass and it was a beautiful day!

Thanks again for letting us come and stay at the beach house with you guys! It was so much fun to do that again! We loved it - and so glad we got to spend time with everyone! xoxo

Christmas in Dixie!

Treece Family Christmas!

So this year we were with our Treece Family for Christmas! We went up to Brian Head and stayed at a condo there for a few days and got lots of skiing and snowboarding in! The weather was so incredibly beautiful and the snow was just as great, but the company was even better!

 Kyle - Megan - Kylee - Jake

Kyle and I headed out for the day :)
 Me and Megan enjoying snowboarding!

We stayed in one of the condos just off the lift - it was so nice and sooo convenient!
After a few days of staying up at Brian Head, we headed back to our house in St. George to spend Christmas at home with everyone! It was perfect!

We went and walked around Town Square where they had lots of lights put up, plus Kruz was so excited to have us back home! :) He got to stay at home with a sitter for a few days, so he didn't have it bad at all!
Kruzer boy loves kisses!

Christmas Morning!
Meg and Jake got new ipods :0)

Twinners in our Christmas Jammies!

We tried to get a picture of all of us together  - we didn't have anyone around so we set up our little handy dandy tri-pod! It did just the trick huh Becca? :) Anyways...we got some!

We hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas!! <3 p="">

Car is GRADUATED!!

I am so proud of Carli! She is done with her schooling for Dental Hygiene!! YEAH! I was able to go and attend her ceremony in Orem with my family. Carli is beyond excited to be done and have all of her testing completed! :) We are all so proud of you Car Car - you will do such great things! GOOD LUCK! xoxo

Of course my sister said she would get me pictures from multiple times we have gotten together, but still haven't seen them so I should have captured a few more pics but at least I got one with my Car Michael at graduation. She didn't want it with her cap on ;) Love you car and thank you for allowing me to share this special day with you! I couldn't be more proud of you and your accomplishments in life! Love you dearly!

temple square lights

I got to sneak up to Salt Lake for a quick couple of nights to attend my little sister Carli's graduation ceremony. However, we had lots of family around an in town and it was right before Christmas, so we all got together at Temple Square to walk around and see the lights and get to see everyone during all the chaos of the holidays!
The lights were so beautiful and the spirit that is felt at Temple Square is always so strong. It was so nice to get to share that with my family.

Sawyer of course was the center of attention....we just love having her around!

Turkey Turkey

Ky and I got to escape to Idaho for most of the week to spend Thanksgiving with my family there. Carli joined us on the drive when we picked her up in Provo. It was so fun having everyone together...I  really just wish there would have been lots of snow to have been able to go snowboarding or snowmobiling while we were all there. Oh well tho - still a great time. I got to see a lot of my family that I have not seen in quite a while too so that was really great.

Ginny doing a little reading

Ginny spent Thanksgiving with us up at my parents place in Boise. It was nice to head up there and hang out and be close to everything and everyone else. Aunt Denise and Uncle Greg and Tyler and Cody and Erin and Keegan and Chloe came up for some dessert too! It was lots of fun to see them all!! xoxo

Thanksgiving Chefs ;) THANK YOU!! so yummy

EAT UP SOY!

While so many of us were together and with Ginny heading down to stay in St. George for the winter, we decided to celebrate some for her 80th birthday!! :) Happy Birthday Ginny we love ya!

Soy liked being up so high on Cody's shoulders :)

Sunday was my birthday and we got back to Glenns Ferry and went to church as a family. Since we were back in GF I wanted to go and visit the cemetery. I am so glad that Papa's headstone had gotten put in before we were there so we were able to see it and visit down at the cemetery. The headstone turned out so perfectly. It is beautiful. Very fitting. Ginny did a great job picking all the details out. Its always so hard without him. We love and miss you so much Papa. We love you always and miss you always. I know you are always looking out for us and we can feel you in our presence. I hope we make you proud.

While we were there at the cemetery we always stop by Riley's and Shelby too. It is so crazy to me to think of how different things would be if she was still with us on earth. I can't wait to get to know her in the next life and have another best friend. I am so grateful to have such incredibly amazing sisters who I love so much and can call my best friends. *Cheers to sisters :) Love you dear little sister.

Young Womens

Our YW Presidency got shuffled around a bit and now we have a few new additions to the YW presidency. I am so lucky to serve with such wonderful ladies, not to mention a lovely group of young women in our ward. I love being part of the young women program.
