Thanksgiving - Williams, AZ

We had to leave this cute little guy behind with a friend while we were gone for Thanksgiving! :(

***NOTE*** this post has a lot of Pictures - courtesy of Darci, Amy, and Sara, mostly since they all have quite a great skill and knack with taking pictures! :) Thanks for sharing them with me! xo

We went to be with the Hansen Clan for Thanksgiving in Williams, Az to stay at a cabin there with everybody!! There was snow there so it was fun to get to play in it - we built a snow man and did some sledding.

Here is the awesome cabin we were at for the week! It was beautiful, however, I failed to get any pictures of it. lame.

This is how drives end up with Kyle when he is not driving...I think we had been in the car for like 10 minutes. Maybe. Pretty typical haha - We were on our way to The Grand Canyon - South Rim! I was pretty excited to go and see this part of the Grand Canyon since I haven't ever been to this location before!

We were not disappointed in all it's grandeur! Holy cow - it is so beautiful and luckily it was a pretty clear day. Only scattered clouds, but it gave it just as much beauty to be able to admire! It was such a picturesque place! I feel so blessed that I was able to get to see such a beautiful creation - God has truly blessed us with the creation of the Grand Canyon. I don't know how else to explain it - absolutely breathtaking! Here are a handful of pictures to try and show just how amazing the view really is!

We had a lot of fun checking things out at all of the lookouts, but I would have loved to spend more time there! Maybe another trip is in store to do more exploring there! :)

So the big thing for us going to stay in Williams for Thanksgiving was going to take the little kiddos on the Polar Express Train Ride! This whole train experience is pretty awesome for the kids definitely - so that was fun to get to see them get so excited about Santa, the lights, and singing, and the story.
However, Kyle and I, and Jordan and McKayla, we probably looked like a group of creepers since we don't have any kids. lol kind of funny I would recommend going on this only if you have children :) haha but we still had a great time with everyone!

Anyways, we were glad we got to share the special night with our nieces and nephew! It was so sweet to see if they would get excited, happy, scared, or sad when Santa came by! They all liked him far away at the North Pole! haha

Thank you Steve & Darc for the wonderful trip!

Happy Fall Ya'll :)

So lots of random things have been going on for us as of lately...

We enjoyed a nice evening together at the St. George Temple. I must say it looks SOOO beautiful at night.

Sara was here for a quick trip and I got to see them for a little bit so we took them up to Cox Pond just up the street from my house. They loved feeding the little duckies! :)

Steve & Darci hosted a charity event/race up at their race track, Iron Mine Race Park, in Cedar City. Kyle and I were able to go up and help and be part of the fun event. Lots of great riders there so it was fun watching the races and the weather was pretty nice too! Kruz seems to enjoy being up there too, he especially enjoys his nap time in the sunshine ;)

Kruz has been pretty funny lately and has not wanted to get out of bed...haha so he just hangs out for a bit until he is ready to get "up" to face the day. :) We sure love this little guy. He keeps us entertained and gives us lots of love!

Halloween for us was pretty low key, but that was fine by us. We enjoyed spending time just the two of us and enjoyed carving our pumpkins and watching a scary movie.
Kyle's carving is the Volcom Stone -- Mine was the silly/scary face, I'm not sure which it is more of.

One thing about these two boys...they LOVE to cuddle. I'm pretty lucky.

Kyle brought some big tubs home from his parents' storage and we found some fun little treasures and discovered a lot of funny stuff.
This collection of Kyle's consists of EVERY Goosebump book ever... apparently these were the only books Kyle would read as a kid so I think Grandma Kay jumped on that! I can't believe he kept them all - kind of fun! I didn't take any pictures of his lego collection, but it is quite the collection. Mind you, I have never been into legos nor ever put any together really before. Kyle made sure that changed and we put his entire "western town" together one night. Long night it turned out to be, but he really enjoyed it. Pretty funny he was still REALY into it.

I must admit, this year the FALL has been so incredibly beautiful! The weather has been like none other and the colors have been SO vibrant! It has been fun seeing all of the changes just around our house especially. We have some great views of town on our walks. We are pretty lucky to live in such a beautiful place. We love it.

I had been attempting at the growing my hair out phase...was not loving it at all. Had to go for a change. Glad that it worked for Dab to do it for me :)

Now I love it! I feel sooooo much better with my hair done! Dab you did wonders for me girl! ;)

Kyle and I have recently been on a kick of going down to the bowling alley with us and having friends come along too. It has been a lot of fun - sometimes we do way good and other times we just flat out suck and get the worst scores. I hate when that happens...so frustrating. We are both way too competitive apparently! ahha

Anyways, happy Fall Ya'll!! :)

sister time!

My Cute little sister, Carli, was in town for a friend's wedding and she got to stay with us! It was so much fun to have her around even if it was just for a little bit! We miss having you so close!

Car and I enjoyed some yummy hot chocolate at the Bear Paw one morning while she had some free time for me :)

The weather was so nice while she was here even in October :)
Thanks for the quick visit Car! xoxo

Cinder Cone & Red Mountain

Being in the young women's in my ward I get to do fun stuff with our youth. We recently got to take the ym and yw on some hikes for the day and it was so much fun. We did this for our ward youth conference, so there was hiking, some great talks, testimonies shared, and some really yummy food!

Red Mountain trail is probably one of my favorite hikes because the views are breathtaking and it is so close to St. George, but you get the same majestic views you would in Zion. I love it.

Here are some pictures from our hike at the lookout point on Red Mountain Trail. This overlooks into Snow Canyon State Park. Isn't it beautiful? I LOVE THIS VIEW!

Here are some pictures at the volcano just outside of St. George - Cinder Cone Trail

Anyways, we had a wonderful day together! It was great to get outside and observe all the beauty God has created for us to enjoy. We are so blessed! I love this group of ladies - they are pretty wonderful women - I am lucky to get to get the chance to serve with them! :)
